Building a productive work culture doesn't have to invite burnout and stress—Everyone Wants to Work Here empowers you and your team to build effective habits for accomplishing your goals. Exhaustion not required.
To achieve efficiency, productivity, and significant results, you need to make the best use of the resources available to you. Productivity expert Maura Thomas helps you nurture the crucial resource that is your work culture and build productive habits for yourself and your team, without letting work take over your life.
Everyone Wants to Work Here empowers you to define what productivity means for your team and to create conditions that support your own productivity. Starting with yourself, Thomas's holistic advice will help you develop productive strategies for your whole team, such as: efficient company-wide communication strategies; achieving the organization's most significant results; off-site work with healthy boundaries; office design that supports collaborative and focused work; and holistic well-being of your whole team.

Extremely timely and relevant

There are 10 chapters that basically state 1) let employees rest to be productive (take a vacation fully unplugged), 2) let employees have quiet time so they can think, 3) how to facilitate good communicate in the norm of remote work, which as of August 2025, is becoming less and less relevant and definitely not relevant to my small business. I can’t imagine this being useful for a large business either, because the content is so basic. It’s HR 101 and was dragged out too long. To sum up the book: keep employees happy by letting them be well-rested and not burnt out.
