Finally some Simon and Meg time

What did you love best about Etched in Bone?

I love this book. I do personally think that the book could use something more but I do not know what that may be. Simon, Meg, Skippy and Sam are the perfect little family. I knew that they would be inseparable since we met Sam back in book 1.

I do hope that this is not the last that we see of Meg and Simon since Anne Bishop stated that she is going to be leaving this the Lakeside Courtyard and moving on to another for book 6, Lake Silence. I want to know more about what Simon, Meg, Skippy, Sam and the other members of the Courtyard are up to.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Etched in Bone?

I want to the last chapter is the best part for me. I love a slow burn but damn. It was a long time coming. I also enjoyed the crows. They are always there for a bit of a comic relief.

Every book in this series is a five star trip

I fell in love with this series from the first book and have only enjoyed it more with every book.
It is a mixture of the wonderful world building that you can fall straight into, which not every fantasy writer is capable of leading us to. There is sweetness and innocence and humour contrasting with the dirty, nasty, blackness in this world. The bad guys in a couple of books have almost been caricatures of evil doers, which is is close as I will get to a complaint.
It is fantasy at its best. The werewolves and vampires are not hot steamy and sex driven, preoccupied with womens breasts. Here there be monsters ...but monsters that are capable of loyalty and caring, Monsters being both the humans and the others. Their care and protection of a damaged blood prophet and each other and their willingness to evolve and expand their world view makes for a wonderful journey.

other worldly yet same worldly

This was a book that had a recipe full of well melded and creative flavours. I enjoyed the narrator's take on the 4th book and every book in this series. I am satisfied with every part of this book including the nail bighting conclusion.

yet another great book

I was anticipating this next installment and it was worth the wait! The reader is perfect for this story, she has a good handle on speed and feel.

I'm sad that this is the last book in the series

Really loved this series. It ended on a possible positive outcome, but I wish there was one more to what happens with Meg and Simon.

This was my favorite so far in the series!

This series is one of the best in its class. It's unlike any other world created in this genre and its a really great journey! This book has a lot more action and suspense then the others. Narrator did another fabulous job portraying all the characters. No doubt about purchasing this title, although I would suggest you read the series in order.

This series is so good. It touches on important topics while also being fictional and interesting and engaging and emotional.

COMPLETELY UNIQUE TAKE ON SHIFTERS - LOVED IT!

I saw the first book of this series on one of my Amazon emails and decided to give it a try. I am so happy I did. This is a completely original series of an alternate world that includes different types of shifters and "others" along with humans. The moment I finished the first book I went on to try the audio book from the Library. It was also so good I decided to purchase the audio books from Audible and then strangely enough I went back and purchased all of the ebooks. (Sometimes I like to read and sometimes I like to listen! )

This series will be on my re-read and re-listen list from now on!

If you are looking for something completely different from the run of the mill shifter books you should try this series!

Such excellent work - writing and narration.

Ms. Bishop is pretty much a genius with walking delicate and intricate lines around and through interspecies relationships with the many characters of this series. Entertaining and engrossing and with just enough humor to allow some breathing room amid the suspense and action. And, I really “get” the Others desire to bite someone. Alexandra Harris' excellent narration provided a fascinating edge to the story (as I had read it previously).
