Nun but facts and history being told , learned a lot about my favorite artist I never knew before. Must read or listen if a fan.

They saved me!

This book will be incredibly helpful for many individuals who are struggling with mental health issues and believe that drugs can cure them. However, it is important to emphasize that drugs will not provide a lasting solution. Gucci Mane will always hold a special place in my heart as my favorite artist. Regardless of whether or not they are using drugs, this man is truly a legend! I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. Davis.

Runnability 

As a mental health therapist, I feel that this took great bravery for a black man to not only speak his truth but also give the world the life that he was battling with. It is so hard for the black community to admit when mental illness is taking over and them using substances to medicate their problems. I love this book because it shows bravery, great strength and resilience. 

New Narrator

the book was great but next time use someone who actually knows about the person. terminology was misused and name was mispronounced.

Informative listen

As a new clinical mental health counselor, I consume as much about mental health and illness as I can. I cannot say that I was familiar with Gucci Mane, aside from knowing he is a rapper. This audiobook takes an honest look at bipolar disorder and paranoid schizophrenia in all of its scariness, ugliness, messiness, and resulting destruction and heartbreak. I found this to be more effective than any academic/scholarly research I could have done. This is the third book I’ve read that gave first-person accounts of living with bipolar disorder. I highly recommend it.
