Just as engaging as the first book.

The story had me glued to it, so that I can find out what happened between Callia and Zander. Although I really liked the book there were a few parts that dug under my skin that makes this book go from a 5 star to a 4 star book. One of them being Callia's reaction to events didn't jive with me. I won't name the events so I don't spoil the story. All the woman in this book also made me want to slap them for not standing up for themselves. Eventually they do but it takes a while for them to get there. I also didn't like the dynamic between Callia and Isadora while that got better it made me like Isadora a bit less and I was really looking forward to her book. I still am and I will be getting the next book. There is lots of action and twist in this book and the world gets more intricate with each word. Narrator does a good job.

If I thought I loved the first book, this one topped it even more!!!

I was worried I wouldn’t enjoy it because this story moves from the first book’s main characters, Casey and Theron to Zander and Callia. I LOVED this story and can’t wait to listen to the next!

Meh

The overall storyline was good, I liked the different levels of issues Zander and Callia. I did like the hidden in plain sight secrets that were kept from the pair of them, and that they had to process the proper information to get to the bottom of things. My personal issue with the storyline is that these two could've had an adult conversation and would have figured it out a lot sooner than 10 years later. For Zander being so strong physically, I see how he could be lacking in other areas and I appreciate the humanness that was shown through his character. Callia became annoying for me, I know you were hurt once before, but the continuous pushing and pulling with Zander, and kind of playing with his emotions irritated me. I also understand why Callia felt that she was doing what she had to do in order to protect herself. I guess this is what happens when you can read both side of the story. Anyways, I think I will continue the series, I want to see what will come of the princess and her quest.

Very suspenseful, kept me I the edge to the end.

I finished the whole audio book in one day. Although towards the end it was getting irritating worn the way she kept Syria gi n him along and bouncing back and forth work her decision. But it was a very good book and so far a great series. loved both so far.

Better than first book, Yuk Narrator

Yeah, I still cant stand the narrator, but the story line is really good. Im getting the next book. This one was not boring like the first, more action, more chemistry in the main characters. Overall, just better. Im staying with it, still wish for better narration, but hey even second rate ones grow on ya after a couple of books. LOL

Great tell

Wishing it was more grabbing, but I’m on to the next book hoping I’m intrigued.

Better and BEETTTTTEEERRRRRR!!!!

These books have just gotten better. I was completely enamored by her first book in the Eternal Guardians series but after listening to the story of Zander, i know im going to finish every single book in this series. This book has moments of deception where you would want to slap a person for being so stupid. And the love scenes between the charcters is hot, hot, and hotter. She gives you an amazing part of each of the characters and opens them up wide enough to relate to them or hate to be in there shoes. Elisabeth Naughton is truly amazing.

Interesting sequel

Same narrator as book 1. It was okay.

I kind of like this one but there is still something that doesn't work for me.
I am used to brotherhoods/warriors/alpha males who are protective of their females, who want to feed them, take care of them etc.
All the males treat the women so callously and that always gives me a pause.
Zander and Callia were alluded in the last book as being true mates, so in this book, we got to find out what drove these lovers apart for the last 10 years.
Again, it seems like everyone is a pawn in both the King's game and in Atlanta's game. I am really coming to despise this King who seems to ask everyone to sacrifice in a way he hasn't.

I also feel bad for Queen-elect Isadora, who has lost another fiancée to another previously unknown half sister. That poor chick has crappy luck.

I want to read the next book because it's Isadora's but I can't say that I am enjoying the males. In fact, I am kind of team Atlanta right now

Great Display of Fulfilling Storytelling

Struggled thru book one and had this one thru a series sale. On a whim listened and loved this one. Seems the author had to warm up in book one and got going good in book two. Will continue the series now.

Each book gets better.

How Sadie went from this big bad tough guy to one who would do anything for his soul mate.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I again listened to this at work because I couldn't stop listening to it.
