Acerca de esta escucha

"The Ravenscrofts didn't seem that kind of person. They seemed well balanced and placid..." And yet, twelve years earlier, the husband had shot the wife, and then himself - or perhaps it was the other way around, since sets of both of their fingerprints were on the gun, and the gun had fallen between them. The case haunts Ariadne Oliver, who had been a friend of the couple. The famous mystery novelist desires this real-life mystery solved, and calls upon Hercule Poirot to help her do so.

Poirot is now a very old man, but his mind is as nimble and as sharp as ever and can still penetrate deep into the shadows. But as Poirot and Mrs. Oliver and Superintendent Spence reopen the long-closed case, a startling discovery awaits them. And if memory serves Poirot (and it does!), crime - like history - has a tendency to repeat itself.

I love Hugh Fraser’s reading of the Poirot books. This was a pretty good story, maybe not Christie’s most riveting.

Poirot and Hugh Fraser, perfect pairing

Very well read. Great intonation and varied voices.
Even if you figure it out before the end it's still enjoyable.

Wonderful for new and fans of Agatha

Well acted, and kept me engaged to the end! It was a little confusing with certain characters’ names but it was still a great performance.

Excellently performed

Loved it!

Unlike other Agatha Christie books, this event happened many years prior to being solved.

I can never guess the results in Agatha Christie books! This also was the case with this book.

Unlike most of the other Agatha Christie books, where most of the people are assembled in one location, because the event in this book took place many years earlier many of the characters described were no longer living. However, Hercule Poiirot was still able to solve this mystery.

I strongly recommend this book.

Great Book!

Finally one I figured out. I've come close on some, but this one is the first one I got spot on.
Hercule Poirot and Agatha Christie never disappoint.
enjoy this one

Always enjoyed reads

The tragedy in this story has stuck with me for years. For that reason every few years I will go back and reread the Poirot series. This sad, sad ending is so tragic, but still I'm used with love. From a critical standpoint, the buildup takes a little longer than other books and the explanation is almost abrupt.

The penultimate Poirot

unlike other Christie books this from1970s was easy to predict! I loved the Poirot/ Mrs Oliver interaction
