Another great mystery on the fens. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the entire series as a whole. I hope there’s more but happy to see where this one ended definitely worth the listen.

Solid Story in the Series

Another DI Nikki Galena and team murder to solve.
Interesting and engaging from the start. Great secondary characters who make the story highly entertaining and move the pieces into place.
Have enjoyed this series very much and the fact that new characters are introduced and in the stories.

Ellis is brilliant

The reader was fabulous; she really makes the characters come to life. I feel like I’m right there in the room listening to the conversation. The storyline is exciting, the descriptions and narrative arch precise and engaging.
If I were to say anything, it would be to brush up on the reader’s Welsh accent. As a Scot, she sounds more Scottish than Welsh. But that is simply nitpicking! A great read as always! Thanks to all involved 😎

As always, I love the twists and turns

Definitely not what I expected, but I love Joy's style of writing and loving the progression

Low key

I have all that Joy Ellis has written. This book was not what I expected. It left me wanting. Somewhat disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of Joy’s books! This one was just different.

Another great one.

Another excellent addition to the series. Good story and I never guessed the murderer. I hope there are more books.

The end wa perfect

A mind boggling story, full of twists and turns that keeps you on tenterhooks to the end

A wonderful mystery with a perfect ending!

I have been listening to this series for the last 5 weeks and I am so sad I don’t have another one to start right away. Joy Ellis has become one of my favorite authors. The characters are developed so well that I miss them when they’re gone (Dave, I miss you!), and the mysteries are always twisty and fun. I really hope this is not the end of this series, but if it is I am so happy with how it ended. I’m really hoping for more mysteries with Nikki, Joseph, and the rest of the team.

I loved it. Really great plot weaving! Can’t wait for the next one! And the happy ending we’ve been waiting for!
