Rookie author trying to sound smart with cliches

This book is empty, all fluff, no substance, nothing actionable. the author was not clear on his target audience. it's like he is trying to appeal to UX newbies plus UX pros, in addition to leaders who are ux illiterate and ux proficient. his effort to appeal to "everyone" resulted in a book that works for no one. he writes with so much cliche industry jargon, it's ridiculous. I'm a senior UX specialist and even I was lost. and rolling my eyes. he could not clearly explain anything. it's all parroting of catchy, clickbait type content from the internet. I'm returning this book.
I also dont like that he chose to not go with a professional narrator. nothing against his wife, but narrating is not her forte; it was incredibly dry and emotionless.
