Same issue every other reviewer has

Please Audible. Can you consider making it a principle to not change a narrator with a long series. It feels like the characters have gone through extreme personality changes. I didn't check before buying for a narrator assuming it is business as usual. Luke seems like he is overacting the roles maybe it is just because the other guy was more low key and calm.

Went though this experience with Got and also suffered. Like imagine you wake up one day and your two best friends switched voices

New Narrator

I enjoy both voice actors. However, I feel like this is an entirely new book and am struggling to feel the same investment in the characters.

Not the same

It has the same characters but their personalities, I feel, have changed drastically with the changing of the narrator. The book's information is still good. Luke Daniels is a good narrated, if he had started the series, it probably wouldn't have been a problem.

the whole book was kinda meh

the new narrator was pretty bad. all his voices sounds exactly the same. the story wasn't as good as the previous books either

Puns flat due to Narrator

There was a change in narrator. This narrator does not have enough of a repertoire for more than 6 voices. It was hard to tell which character was talking unless it was directly mentioned; even worse if it was a female character. The change was too drastic to keep the audible. Story's ending was satisfying. Just struggled to get through because of the narrator.

The new narrator is trash.

I’m about an hour through this book and I’m uncertain I can finish it. I loved this series up until the new narrator. The narration is so bland and monotone every character sounds the same to the point you cannot tell which character is speaking. I will not be purchasing anymore of Krouts books if he continues to use Luke Daniels. Fix it.

The narrator killed it for me

To keep this super simple and short.
Our smart, epic, and lovable dungeon we all know now sounds like a weeaboo. It really throws me off to hear all the cringe sounds the characters makes now. If they change the narrator I will buy this again, but as it is I couldn't do more than 10 minutes. This will be the third book I have ever returned out of about 150 books, so take my advice. If you can't handle a radical voice change (for the worse) then this is not for you anymore.

bring back original narrator

being back the original narrator, the voices with the new one just seem all wrong

just... what?

first off, I love this series. it is hands down one of my favorites on audible. Second, I've listened to and enjoyed other books narrated by Luke Daniels. He should not have done this one. Still well read, still a good story, not a single character in the story was remotely close to what they were. Maybe if he had the series from the start it would be fine, or perhaps even read or listened any of the previous books beforehand.

would suggest reading the book.

I have loved and highly suggested the previous books in this story line, this one though continued the plot with the characters I've come to love left something to be desired. the first problem is a change in voice actor, characters that had no accent suddenly have very strong ones, second is there are still several clips of the actor testing out lines so you hear several twice. Third I'm sure it all has something to do with the parallel series he is writing, but this book felt like it was lacking something, or maybe it's just the disappointment from the other two issues. I wish I had just read this book instead of listened to it.
