Loved it!

The narrator is amazing! I love the story, characters, and writing. I wish there was a bit less lecturing about ills in society. I’m on the same page as the author on them, but it just feels a bit like I’m getting a lecture constantly and it slows down the story.

So fun!

This is a delightful series, and I can’t wait to listen to the next book!

Great series

Not sure what to say except I really have enjoyed this series. The story flows and kept me engaged. My only complaint was it’s still too short. I think they should have combined the books. Highly recommended

My new favorite series. Second book. Lovely writing and story and narration. what is not to like about dragon keepers in 20th century England. Highly recommended.

Wonderful captivating inspired novel

Drake Hall, The Secrets of Ormdale is a great, entertaining and captivating book with laughs and tears that are inspired. The performance is excellent. It is a must listen audible book. It will bless you.

Never a bore to listen to, but it does meander.

I want to be clear, Miss Baehr and Knowlden bring Edith to life in a way that always keeps things truly interesting. That being said, this book feels a bit like filler between books 1 and 3. Not much really happens, and the finale is really just the inciting incident for the next book.

The characters and setting are charming, and I don’t grudge spending more time in Ormdale, but I would have loved to see a more distinct beginning, middle, and end.

Delightful

I love this series! I titled the review as I did because everything about it fills me with delight! The story, the characters, the relationships, the humour, the clever literary references, and the superb performance Elizabeth Knowelden. This is book 2 in the series and I can’t wait for all 5 to come out on audio! The 3 that are out so far have become my “comfort audiobooks”. I’ve listened to them multiple times and sometimes nothing else will quite do.

Jane Austen, but with Dragons

Very clean and super enjoyable for youth and adults. The pace is relaxed while still keeping you interested. A very cozy read.
