One of the best books in a while!

Ok, it will start off very slow but once you get to chapter 10, the story will get better and better and better! This has become one of my new favorites!

Give it a chance; it is worth your time

I truly disliked the beginning of this book, and stuck it out because of the author. I am very glad I did.

Starts slow… keep going! I loved it. Totally different than Anne of Green Gables and yet you still get a wonderful sense of Montgomery’s imagination for bringing nature to life.

The reading was perfect and the story is one that will never leave my heart.

Thank you for bringing this favourite of more than 50 years to audible. Now if only someone would do an unabridged version of The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge.

Move over Anne of Green Gables

I have been enamored with all things Anne from an early age and even into adulthood. I just recently found out about “The Blue Castle” this Spring and decided to give it a whirl. You can’t go wrong with a L.M. Montgomery novel. I couldn’t stop listening. I love the transformation of Valancy and her pure and honest nature. It is an “Anne” novel for adults that you can’t put down!

What a true delight!!

I really loved this book and was very surprised at the humor, the pathos and the beautiful descriptions of nature. it was a sheer delight to hear the story of this poor unfortunate girl who had a dream and how it all materialized for her.

Wonderful and light hearted Victorian romance!!! Always have loved this book!!! The reader was really good with all the characters in this book. Not an easy feat with L.M. Montgomery books as there are sooo many. I'd love to hear the reader read the author's book "Tangled Web".

Where has this book been my whole life? It is funny, charming, and clever. Such a funny and heartwarming story. If your heart is in Green Gables and Avonlea, you will find it also has a room in the Blue Castle.

Satisfying happy ending!

Montgomery crafted a beautiful story of two lonely hearts finding redemptive love. So worth reading!
