This is one of two separate sequels to Dragons and Princesses, a coming-of-age story.
Merissa is a 15-year-old Dragonkin princess. Her dragon relatives want to take her away from all she knows and loves. She is forced to make a choice between accepting a new way of life or railing against fate in a desperate bid to win her freedom. In this book, she chooses to escape, hiding from her dragon pursuers in an attempt to live a normal human life. But the world can be cruel, and sometimes fate will not be denied so easily.
