Warning

Much of this has to do with suicide ideation and stress of modern day veterinary staff. Started out pretty depressing. And was equally disturbing in different parts of book.
Cute story otherwise.
Narrator slipped in to some definite babyish talk I did not appreciate. And it wasn’t when people were talking to the dogs.
Good for dog lovers with a balanced mental/emotional state.

Great Story

Loved the story. I felt Morgan’s anxiety. The off color language and description of the sexual encounters did not lend anything positive to the story line. I was disappointed in the characters’ behavior. I would have enjoyed the book more without the vulgar language and sex.

Enjoyed dog/human bonds

Especially the plot twist at the end. Did not see that coming. Would love to read a sequal.

Simply wonderful connection with dogs!

That Morgan showed more preference for the animals than for the humans, especially those who made her life so difficult. The romance that developed was a sweet topping on a very lovely story.

Fun summer romance story

I enjoyed this audio book. It was a fun read, combining a summer romance with a good dose of animals!

A Perfect Escape

This story starts out bringing attention to the very real threat of burnout and the high stress life of veterinarians…and then, we take a much needed escape to Nantucket! This vacation read has it all-dogs, surfing, romance and a touch of drama. Dog Friendly leaves you with hope and a desire to start afresh!

The storyline was good. The characters were believable. It was an easy read and a feel good book.
