Resumen del Editor

Micah Robertson, code-named Lash, has always loved Alex from the first moment their eyes met. He thought they'd be together forever, and it tears him apart when he and Alex split after a life-altering tragedy. So, teaming up with Alex one more time doesn't seem like the best plan. Yet, Micah can't say no because Alex is in his blood.

Alexander Hendrix, code-named Fear, met the love of his life when he ran into Micah at a medal ceremony. Only one thing has ever brought him to his knees, and that was when Micah walked away. Approached by Phoenix to help with one special case, Alex agrees because staying away from Micah is not an option.

It's not always roses between these two powerful men. Lash struggles to trust others, and Fear needs to control the world around him. They have enough problems without the devastating actions of a psychopath. Can these two lovers learn to navigate their painful new reality and reclaim a life together, or will they let their own actions keep them apart?

Phoenix chases an old adversary and an elusive new foe as they race against time hunting a madman bent on leaving a trail of destruction.

Contains mature themes.

Awesome second chance romance

Lash and Fear finally get their turn. Two alpha male torn apart by outside forces find their way back together. My one little complaint is the repetition. One guy would go out on his own or keep a secret and vow to never do it again, then the other would, then do it again. But I still loved this book. Well plotted .

Loved it

4 Blue Roses
4 Blue Flames

Narrator Tristan James slam-dunked the last two volumes of the Out for Justice series. Obviously, he likes to narrate Guns and Badges tropes, but man, I could tell he enjoyed this series very much. The enthusiasm and extra drop of effort he projected, enhanced the tension and emotion into lower your visors, this stuff is going to scorch your irises and outshine all his other audiobooks. This narrator and author duo is a recipe for success. They compliment each other’s styles beautifully and I will certainly listen to more audiobooks released by this duo.

Book 5 was the cherry on the cake. Definitely, ending the series with a blast. I loved the age-gap trope, with the younger character being highly intelligent and mature far beyond his years. Caleb is a savant, he knows what he wants and he wants Wolf.

The author succeeded in creating well rounded brilliant character development, not only primary but secondary characters as well. I fell in love with the protagonists almost immediately. The places we visited to search for Caleb were vividly described, especially when we followed the horrid trail of burning bodies. This was deeply upsetting to hear how people are treated like garbage. It bore holes deep inside my soul because we all know human trafficking is real and real people are treated that way daily.

I do recommend this whole series.

Happy Listening

Great addition to Phoenix men

Great story. Here's the downside... Tristan James is one of my top five narrators. However, when it comes to scenes where there are lots of characters speaking, he isn't the greatest. And what I love best about Phoenix is that all the previously storied characters are featured in more than just a scene or two in the book. I thoroughly enjoy hearing about where former MC's are in their lives. Unfortunately, Tristan James just doesn't do justice to 6, 7, 8, + characters speaking in the same conversation. It really through me off having to wait for the "xxx said" verification before I knew who was actually talking. He just doesn't have that many distinct voices to pull it off. And I've listened to dozens of his books, I enjoy him so much. So it pains me to say he wasn't the right choice for this series.
The series itself is wonderful. In depth character building, lots of action, great stories and lots of amazing characters to root for.

Justice is served!

Would I listen to it again: yes ✔
Did the story keep me engaged: yes ✔
Was I invested in the characters: yes ✔

📖 I listened to all 5 books in the Out for Justice series back to back and loved every one of them. My review covers the whole series in general because there is a story arc that is built on in each book so the full series really needs to be listened to to get all the answers, but that was OK, because the series is well developed, each story is action packed, full of tension and excitement, has good pace, likeable characters, really bad-bad guys who get what's coming to them, and overall I was happy with the conclusion. 😊

🎧 Tristan James was a good choice of narrator for this series and he did a great job with the narration. Each character had his own voice and was consistently maintained throughout the series. I had no problem distinguishing characters and his rhythm, inflections and intonations all worked to bring the characters to life.

👍👍 Overall a excellent series that I thoroughly enjoyed and will happily listen to again.

Sweet and sexy MM romance

Sweet MM military story. Steamy, but not to the point where it drives the story. Both characters are realistically flawed, which only adds to their likeability, I’m not a fan of the narrator, though. He does different voices, but they’re not consistent, and worse, they sound ridiculous.

Meh...disappointing

This one is lacking compared to the first 3. The whole tug of war thing between the MC and the plot itself dragged. I skipped alot of it because I felt like there was just so much filler which didn't really do much for the story. Most of all, a lot of this book is centered on the chase and well the chase got the team no where either. The crucial rescue was even written off page and summarized in one paragraph at the end of the epilogue. That was just a NO, Just NO. The writer's intent of setting this book as a set up for the next is pretty lame. I'm almost certain the writer will REPEAT the rescue over in there. And I really hate when writers keep repeating past events in previous books when the next book will be about new MCs. Anyway, this is where I get off the train with this series. I'm just losing interest with each book.

The narrator...

I've enjoyed the series. However, the audio was painful. The narrator's limitations with varying the voices for each character was comical and...painful. The sex scenes were fast forwarded. I literally LAUGHED OUT LOUD.

Losing logic

The first 3 were pretty great, but this one drops the ball in the logic of how a criminal organization functions. Repeated losses weaken a organizations reach and power, it doesn't remain undamaged. You lose suppliers, wealth and clients. Also power in the criminal underworld doesn't cleanly transfer from one family member to another. Openings in leadership lead to fragmenting and internal wars.
