An FBI agent and a soldier get all tangled up.
Sergeant Joshua Greene -
As a favor, Greene accepts a special assignment that puts him in the immediate vicinity of the disapproving Forest Taylor. Greene honors truth above all else so when a misunderstanding is cleared up between them, he is suddenly faced with a decision that challenges said honor. Should he come clean and tell Forest the truth or keep quiet?
FBI agent Forest Taylor -
Forest has his own set of problems, so he doesn't need the annoying Joshua Greene coming in all bossy and making matters worse. Greene doesn't even like him. Or does he? When he gets mixed signals from Greene, he can't help but wonder, should he back off or take a chance on Greene and lay it all on the line?
The stakes are high and the lies, secrecy, and choices start adding up. Despite it all, can Forest convince Greene to stay? Will Greene admit the truth or will he take the easy way out and walk away?
Contains mature themes.

I listened to all 8 books in the Code of Honor series back to back and loved every one of them. My review covers the whole series in general because there is a story arc that is built on in each book and leads into the next series (Operation Justice Force) so it's all a good fit.
The series is well developed, each story is action packed, has good pace and likeable characters. I like my books a little longer, but overall I was happy with the series and will listen to it again.
I love Forest's character - smart, intelligent, no-nonsense, knows his own mind, takes no BS from anyone - and wear's coloured sneekers!
🎧 Narrator comment: Troy Duran was a good choice of narrator for this series and he did a great job with the narration. Each character had his own voice and I had no problem distinguishing characters from each other and his rhythm, inflections and intonations all worked to bring the characters to life. My only negative comment would be: the secondary characters (ie: other team members) voices were often inconsistent across the series - listening to each book separately I didn't really notice, but when listened to back to back the inconsistency was noticeable.
