Fantastic BDSM romance

Loved this! Fantastic story and characters, loved the relationship dynamics and relatable characters. Great narrator too, he did an amazing job of giving a unique voice to each character. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Would have preferred dual or duet narration...

I enjoyed the premise of the story and it was fairly well written. I love D.C. Cole's narration and enjoyed him as Tobias but I would have preferred if this story had been done in dual or duet narration style. I found myself being pulled out of the story when the female lead's perspective was told by a male narrator.

This is definitely going into my favorites, once again this author has done it even the narrator's were amazing. I loved every minute of this book.

Excellent lovely balance

Writing was descriptive, relatable and so balanced. Excellent narration. The writer had my attention, characters felt genuine and thrill was stellar, great to find!

DC Cole is a delicious Dom :-)

I`m a huge fan of DC Cole`s work so I`ll listen to anything this guys narrates.
It`s a first for me with this author and I enjoyed the first book in this series.
Looking forward to the rest of the series, I really hope DC is narrating them all

Humorous, Sexy, Fabulous!

I loved this story, from the beginning that had me laughing and thinking OMG to the ending! This isn't just a sexy alpha male brings girl into BDSM world and thats all she wrote. There is a real story with real everyday issues that these characters face. I loved Tobias and how he handled her son. I don't think I have anything bad to say about this book. DC Cole did an incredible job narrating this, as always!

Must read, great understanding

Absolutely loved this book. His voice was sexy as hell.

my son is autistic so I appreciated having something like this out there to give others an understanding of what some moms go through on a regular basis. the struggle that is faced with special needs kids and how hard moms have it just to try and have a night out.

Good balance

There is a good balance of sexy time with Diana and Tobias AND affection for the family dynamic with her son. Very enjoyable.

D. C. Cole Outdoes Himself!

I have to admit that the main reason I listened to this book was because D. C. Cole was the narrator and he definitely did not disappoint, in fact he totally outdoes himself with this one! His voices for the many different characters and personalities in this book are outstanding, from Tobias the dom to Chad the special needs child and the many characters in between. As for the story, I really enjoyed the story itself. I loved the way Tobias treated Chad with such caring and patience yet not demeaning or babying at all. I enjoyed Beatrice and Diana’s friendship and the banter between them was hilarious. I liked Diana’s spunkiness and the romance between her and Tobias. There is also a mystery involved throughout the story. I have to say that the whole BDSM club thing was beyond my comfort zone and I did not enjoy the punishment and spanking aspects at all. I did know there would be some in the book and was prepared, thus I just fast forwarded some of those parts. Jane Henry is a new author to me and I thought the book was well written and all in all I did enjoy listening to it.

This start to Jane Henry's new series NYC Doms is fast paced, suspenseful and romantic, and is impossible to turn off! The first scene will have you both laughing and captured into the story of Diana and Tobias. Their first encounter is less than romantic, but the attraction is real and from there, its quick and passionate. Diana is drawn into the world of BDSM, written with realism and even some well placed humor. Henry gives Tobias the alpha male feel, with his protectiveness and commanding way full of love and compassion. That is not to say that he doesn't mean business! Diana is spunky, and as a single mom is independent, so letting her submissive side out initially is a bit awkward and confusing. I love the writing of Jane Henry, it's matter of fact style is refreshing and makes me feel connected to the characters.The addition of Chad, Diana's special needs son, we see another facet of life that many authors would not tackle. The needs of the child are brought to the forefront, and we get to experience the difficulties and joys together, from Chad's uncompassionate biological father to the patience of Tobias. It's beautifully written and a great escape for a weekend listen!

A talented narrator like DC Cole is vital to perform a story of this caliber. From the alpha of Tobias, to the spunky Diana, to the young voice of Chad, Cole gives each one a specific voice and personality bringing the story to life. He portrays the story as Jane has told it with every sentiment and emotion. Listening to him, it's easy to see the story unfold.
