I realize that it's hard to fathom what you can do as an individual to help this country get back on track to be the great country that it has been in the past.

Listening to this book will help you to understand what truly is happening to our government today and how it came to be. If you believe like I do that this country is not going in the direction that it should be and socialism is not an option, Newt helps us to understand what we should be doing to make changes.

Not only do I believe that every American should read this book, I believe that it's imperative that every elected official should study this book carefully. There are too many people in Washington that don't understand how close we are to losing the freedoms and liberties that we have. Republicans, Democrats, and independents all need to find a way to work together and focus on "We the people" instead of we who have the power.

I don't understand how people that have the power to make this country better don't take advantage of that. Instead, they get into public office and use the power to make themselves and this country look foolish. I'm not sure if they do it on purpose or if there's some sort of peer pressure that causes them not to stand up and act with integrity and honesty.
