Resumen del Editor

Russian collusion. The lab-leak theory. The Hunter Biden laptop. Mostly peaceful protests. What if America’s misinformation problem is coming from inside the mainstream media?

Fox contributor Ari Fleischer says most Americans live in a media-created fantasyland. Never before have we been so information-rich yet so poorly informed. America’s liberal media keeps getting the news wrong.

In Suppression, Deception, Snobbery, and Bias, Fleischer notes that half the country is keenly aware that they are routinely mocked and looked down on by much of the media. The disdain shown by too many reporters for too many Americans is a major reason our nation is polarized and divided.

Today’s mainstream media is dominated by college-educated Democratic voters who write stories for other college-educated Democrats. These journalists haven’t just slanted the media; they take sides in our debates and are too often activists for a cause. There is no secret meeting where liberals decide how to slant the news. There is no central source of propaganda. It’s worse than that. It comes naturally to the media because they’re too much alike—they have a diversity problem.

It’s time the press faced up to why so few people trust them and why they’ve been losing viewers and readers for decades. Suppression, Deception, Snobbery, and Bias is the reckoning they will never do on their own.

A good read

I enjoyed listening to this book. It filled in many pieces of news stories that you only heard that we're biased. It was worse than I thought. Again, it made me wonder how Trump ever made it through all the damage that the biased media put on him. No one should believe the press again until they reform themselves, which is unlikely. They are too entrenched elitist who doesn't believe in the truth.

Ta;lk Abut Mind Control!

I think we have all suspected that we have been manipulated but this well-researched, comprehensive book shows us just how much we are. The most you can say about the media is that they are so biased they don't even know they are. Thanks to Ari Fleischer for doing such a superb job of research to help us at least be more aware of the games being played with our minds.

Enlightening analysis of today’s media

I found this book to be extremely informative regarding today’s combative relationship between the media and those on the right. I wish a middle ground could be reached to allow for trust in the media, but then I am a realist. True and sad.

Great book

The source of this country’s ills can be traced to the left-wing, liberal, and biased media.

Important book

As a former House press Secretary colleague of Ari’s I know he could pen a detailed and thought book about the media’s turn away from its moorings. But he exceeded my expectations. As a former state Capitol news correspondent and daily newspaper editor, I found myself nodding violently over Ari’s well-documented yet respectful admonishments. This is an important book.

Outstanding insight into the biased press

This is an excellent book. Ari lays it out about the different ways the Washington press tilts in favor of Democrats and against Republicans. He emphasizes that the press only appeals to one segment of the population - college-educated liberals. Because the press are all college-educated liberals.

The way to change it: Hire someone besides college-educated liberals. Hire people with different backgrounds and different viewpoints.

Nice idea but it's not happening. Too bad because we might have more interesting news coverage instead of today's boring, predictable offerings. Meanwhile, we can listen to Ari's carving up of today's biased press.

Strong Agreements to Support the Premise

I appreciated how Ari supported his ideas. Great job keeping this subject interesting with compelling stories.

I was excited to read the accompanying PDF that he referred to through out. The PDF was supposed to be in my library once I purchased the book. This was also written in the description on Audible. Please fix this error. I really want to read the PDF!

Well researched and written

Thorough and credible. Striking catalog of the systemic bias and suppression present in today’s media. Even if you already knew this, Ari’s research and presentation of the magnitude and scale of the imbalance is striking. Well done
