However, it was later concluded that the second voice on the tape was not Robert's....

Also in Roger's briefcase: $64,000 in cash, along with a money wrapper with Robert's fingerprint on it....

Ultimately, Roger confessed to the murder in his suicide note, exonerating his brother of any guilt....

Interesting but not suspenseful

This is a great true crime story but it lacks the suspense. It’s an easy book to leisurely listen to.

Great narrator

Well worth a listen, interesting case. Great True Crime nonfiction book. I plan on seeking more titles from this author.

He should have been nicer to his wife.

1.) The title is unimaginative. The death is a small fraction of the book. We know nothing about this woman and do not care that she is dead. 2.) All this could have been avoided if he had been nice to his wife and involved with his family. Guys who do illegal things cannot afford a divorce. She knows "where the bodies are buried." (3.) If you make a million dollars with illegal things, declare it (declare half of it), pay the taxes, invest it, and you will end up with way more than if you don't declare it. And you can breath easy.

Good TRUE CRIME

A well-written and researched story of a complicated case, very well done, and very good narration.

The story was told with great detail, yet not to much! The narrator is one of my favorite!

Interesting story

Interesting story-especially since I live in Houston. Disappointed in the outcome but not surprised.

Interesting case, fabulous narration

I hadn’t heard of this case. It was interesting and I’m not sure justice was served. I like the author but what really stood out was the excellent narration. This was a quick ‘read’.

I concur with other reviewers that this story isn’t that suspenseful but it does have an intriguing value. This was a new true crime story for me so it held my attention. However, I despised the chapter discussing the taped conversation between two individuals…Voice One and Voice Two. Extremely annoying. I understand why it was included but still…annoying.

It’s not a bad book. It’s a pretty good listen.

It follows more of the evidence and trail more than the break down of the marriage and their home life.
It was free but if it wasn’t I probably wouldn’t spend a credit on it.

Good book, sad tragic story.

This was a good book. I listened to it all in one day. Hard to imagine so Much greed and devious planning. I would recommend this book to someone that likes to read true crime stories. Not quite as good of a writer as some of the other true crime writers I have been listening to. JS
