Not worth the time
The narration makes this almost impossible to get through. The voice grating, cutesy. A struggle to get through, which I only did because I paid for it. Torture. Story thin, no real character development.

Clean without being preachy
Generally I don't do the Christian genre type of books, but I was looking for something new. Not saying I'm not of the faith, but most of those books are written from an "I'm better than you are" standpoint. I didn't see that with this book. Yes, it's not just one, but two women of faith we're hearing about, women who live their faith rather than tell others how they're not living correctly. The fact that the author actually makes reference to them being - not from two different churches, but rather two separate branches of the same church, makes me hope that others too will realize that we're all under one umbrella, as it were.
The narration was pretty good for what it was. Sister Mary came out as a bit ditzy, but perhaps that's how she was supposed to be. There was enough changes between character voices that you could definitely tell them apart, and that's the main thing I look for in narration - that and an easy to listen to non-monotone voice.
I was given a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review. I plan to get the entire series.
