Dead Station: A Military Zombie Apocalypse Space Opera

A Sci-Fi Thriller Packed with Action, Horror, and Survival

In the cold abyss of deep space, death is only the beginning…

When the crew of the USSCN Týr, an elite special operations warship, is dispatched to investigate a silent mining colony, they expect political unrest or a corporate cover-up. What they find instead is beyond horror.

The once-thriving Kyler Station is now a slaughterhouse. Bodies litter the corridors. Blood paints the walls. And the few survivors left whisper of an infection that turns men into monsters—stronger, faster, and impervious to pain.

For Senior Chief Petty Officer Jackson and his battle-hardened team, survival means following the rules: shoot first, ask questions later. But as the infected close in and the station’s deadly secrets unravel, the mission turns into a desperate fight against an enemy they barely understand.

Something unnatural is spreading. Something relentless. And it's already too late.

Perfect for fans of Aliens, The Expanse, and Dead Space. If you love pulse-pounding sci-fi action, military strategy, and terrifying space horror, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Will they survive the nightmare? Or will they become part of it?

Grab your copy of Dead Station today—before the infection spreads.

I disliked a lot about this book. From the very beginning it reads like a graphic novel and none of the characters are in any way relatable or feel like you should care about them.

When the narrator describes a character reaction and the AI or whatever is speaking on that character’s behalf the tone is the same. A whisper has the same monotone as a yell or scream and you can’t help but feel like it would have been better for the narrator to speak the character voices because it ruins all or any dialogue.

One of the other things I can’t get over, is that whenever you hear a person speak, there is a small gushing or squishing of saliva or residual ick each time the person speaks. It’s like they do it to make the person sound more human.

The best example I can compare the narrator to is one of those annoying YouTube recaps. Same monotone voice sprinkled with generic action conversations.

If you look at this and listen to it like would a graphic novel or comic book you will likely enjoy it a bit.

I can’t recommend it for a credit however.

An audio graphic novel

The editing is a little odd in the sense that it rolls right into the next chapter with next to no pause. Other than that I thought it was a pretty decent story and a good narration.

This is a basic zombie vs the military story but on a space station. Nothing really stands out about this story. No new tech or weapons. You could set this on a boat in the middle of the ocean and have the same story. None of the characters stood out so you had no one to root for or get cry over when they died.

Overall it's a generic zombie story. It's not a bad story, but it's not one you're going to think about after you finish it.

As for the narration\editing... I've listen to better. It's not virtual voice bad but ti's not good. It was like he read the story instead of narrated it. Very little inflection in the voice. Some change in the tone of pitch to reflect different characters.

Overall I think the narration dragged the story down a bit.

Basic Zombie story

narrator reads like he's reading not telling a story. chapters start so quick after the last sentence it sounds like it's part of the last sentence
