Good story- poor editing, maybe script?

The elements are there, guns ho military special ops, the horror of the unknown, the undead, the danger of the horde. I enjoued the radio/comms sfz too. But it doesnt "read" well, more like a summary, or retelling. I love military vs zombies, but there's something off. Lots of "he said" "she said", every tackle is "bone shattering, bone jarring". Lots of "but it wasn't enough.
I won't be continuing this series.

Can see how the editing turned people off

The editing is a little odd in the sense that it rolls right into the next chapter with next to no pause. Other than that I thought it was a pretty decent story and a good narration.
