Resumen del Editor

What if someone robbed you of your fate? What if you had the chance to steal it back?

Jenny’s life shattered within the grip of the Second Alliance.

She had no choice but to flee the occupation of River’s Edge.

After the escape, Jenny and her friends find refuge with another community - one just outside the influence of the Second Alliance. With a fresh start, she finally discovers her purpose in the world after the apocalypse.

But not everything is as it seems.

Unknown to Jenny, dark promises have been made that threaten her freedom.

Will she uncover the plot in time to save herself? To save her friends?

Or will she meet the same fate as others before her?

This dystopian, post-apocalyptic thriller is the third book in Robert Wilson's Days Since... Almawt Virus series.

Loved this story

The author brings us the story of Jenny and what happen to her, Matt and Grant after they fled Rivers Edge. I love how Jenny has toughened up but sadden at the tragedy she has endured. However, despite the things that have happened to her she pushes forward and continues to learn new skills. In the end, she learns more about herself and what her role in their new society will be. I love the surprise in the story. Trust me you are going to like finding out what it is. The narrator does and excellent job bringing the characters to life. You get pulled in and feel their emotions and struggles. I would recommend you listen to this story as it helps tie the other stories together.

Jenny comes into her own

This is the third book in the Almawt Virus series. Each story is told from the perspective of a single character, in this case Jenny. We follow Jenny as she grows and develops her inner strength.

I will admit it's hard to say a lot as I don't want to give anything away. What I will say is that Jenny appears to be poised for a larger leadership role in the community.

It is somewhat odd that I am enjoying these books as much as I am. That might sound like a negative comment, but it's not. I usually prefer more action packed and more frequent battle scenes. This series rolls at a bit of a slower pace than my usual reads, but I am enjoying the characters very much none the less.

I am really hoping that the events in this book are leading up to a showdown in the next book.

A realistic post-apocalyptic series

Days Since...: Jenny: Day 986, is an excellent addition to a well-composed post-apocalyptic series. The world-building and the Almawt Virus scenario are quite realistic. Given COVID-19, the possibility of a deadly pandemic is definitely probable. The series is well-plotted and gripping, each addition centers around a different character and their individual perspective. This time, the story centers around Jenny, an ordinary young girl trying to survive in a dark and desolate world where the majority of the human population is dead. Robert Wilson's character development is absolutely phenomenal; I found Jenny to be authentic, stubborn, and real-to-life with great inner strength and willingness to learn.

The storyline was wholly engaging with loads of suspense and action. The past event and characters are connecting and coming together very nicely. I'm eagerly anticipating the fourth book, and can't wait to find out what's next for the team of survivors and Sherman, the dog.

Matthew Crow did a terrific job narrating this audiobook. The characters were very well portrayed, his inflections and timing were all spot-on. He literally breathed life into the story. All around, this was a fantastic and enjoyable listen, one I highly recommend.

Nice continuation from Book 2

After the jaw dropping ending to Book 2, I was anxious to listen to Book 3 and it was a good continuation - although I like the series, I am not super excited about it, which is why I only give 4 stars (which is a 3.5 rounded up to 4).

I like the characters and how we still have some of the characters from Book 2 involved. There are certain threads that are pulled from Book 2 (mostly) and Book 1 (a little) so it starts to weave together various plot lines, although you could probably read this one as a stand alone without too much confusion.

The female voice done by the narrator is still a little grating for my ears, I wish it wouldn't be so forced - it made her sound really whiny which is not what the author wanted for her character, I believe. It was somewhat better after halfway through or I started getting used to it. Either way, it would have been great to have a more natural pitch to Matthew's voice, or maybe even had a female narrator considering it is from Jenny's POV.

Now onto Book 4 I guess, to see how all these characters come together to face their monsters.

Suspensful and Shocking o.o!

So This is my 2nd time having a go at this book. Not for having a hard time reading or getting through the story but rather this audio book has been given to me for an honest review without being bias. The kindle version has its own but the Audio to me really out does the kindle version by far imo. At least thats my my choice rather than spending time reading haha especially when i can do other stuff and enjoy a solid story.

Ok Overall- I really didnt expect the book to end the way it did at least not the literal ending but the climax points leading up to where Jenny is Who she is to become. If you've read Book1 -2 you would know they both center on its MC's and slowly introducing the next installment or at least gives you a vague understanding. I Honestly Liked Xavier more but now im feeling Jenny in book 3. I at first thought she was just a whiney bitchy girl and lets be real... a spoiled brat. But if you havent read what happened i guess you wouldnt know why she was being that way at least tryna fill a pair of shoes in her situation. I like and love the growth as she starts realizing she needs to be mature and grow an actual pair of hairy bollas lol (Testis) especially with the realities of whom she should trust, her own personal demons and her upcoming dilema of life. Did i give any spoilers i hope not.
What really seems extra cool is the training or usage of a police K9 or at least a retired one who plays a bit of a role as a main character. To me its cool because in most stories or books it's purely almost fantasy or miracles that the Pet/hero/dog whatever always hops into the heat of battle and does bad ass things. Here you get a sense of what a real deal trained dog can do and for me that was a bonus to enjoying how Jenny's Character grew along side him.
The Bad guy or Main Antagonist of this ark really hit home or at least this is a side of humanity most tend to fail to see or are scrared to see and look up to a man who isnt good but accept him all because they dont want responsibility but instead allow him. Idk, He got what he deserved :D That much i can tell you.

Performance wise. I give Robert Wilson 10/10 For me you really out did yourself in Jenny. Thanks to you i was able to take this book in a new light. Mr. Crow really did it for me and did justice to Jenny and even Grant .

Story- Cant complain about the flow of things. All my questions from book 1-2 more or less answered itself with how some of the events played out. I really wonder if there is gonna be a revolution style resistance :D Im craving to read/listen to whats next in the DAYS SINCE Series.

For those of you taking time to read the review. Id say Listen to it from book 1. IMO it's definitely worth. As for being technical about anything eh i believe my review does enough justice. Truth is you gotta read/listen and see where it goes. I aint from the north and its not overly military or instant hero worship... So i can actually enjoy a change of pace. I actually see growth in characters, the dilema and struggles they face. Most books dont really give you that unless maybe you go for manga/comics etc Or possibly 1 hit wonder stand alone solo novels. I usually am picky but i like how each character plays a role and i look forward to when its Days since and the Whole cast is involved. Oh 1 more thing. @ Robert Wilson, man I was sad how book 2 went ... but you made me one happy camper knowing HE SURVIVED <3 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU haha.

Great Listen

In the start of this book I wanted to smack Jenny, she was so whiny. But the further I got into the book I began to understand why she was pushing so hard to be able to handle herself. It seems in all societies that the women get done the worst. Women become commodities for trade or forced usage. This is where the story of Thomas comes in with the Butcher. Others want to do the same and they want young women to start the process again. Xavier was a big surprise, I cried when he was hung in the second book. I am happy he found his parents but his loyalty is in question. They have to warn the people at the depot what the SA is going to do. Jenny does a good job on rescuing Matt and Grant and finding Xavier. The narrator once again did a very good job. I enjoyed the whole story and narration. I will be looking for other stories to come. It looks like they may be taking the fight to the SA and they deserve it.

I got a free copy of this audiobook from the author for an honest review.
