🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Dark and Powerful 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Yes, this book has numerous dark parts, maybe darker than the first book, but Powers is a fantastic storyteller and has a way of getting this story out that leaves plenty of hope and positivity during such a rough, tragic time for these characters. I keep wanting the sun to come out and heal the earth and for them all to live happily ever after, but the story stays true to the trials and tribulations of a post-apocalyptic world.
Can't leave Aaron Cleveland out. He takes this story and gives it more than just a voice, he adds to the very soul of the story. I can't imagine these characters without his voice narrating.

Amazing story!
The characters in this story experience the right amount of real dread with just a touch of unrealistic good luck to make the story interesting and Worth reading. It's a great sequel to The first book. Looking forward to the next book!
