Sierra McIntyre, Tabloid reporter, and her Dust Bunny Elvis have been granted an interview with the new Guild Boss, John Fontana. While she asks him questions he is also asking questions of her. He is convinced that she’s getting closer than he is in finding out what is happening to ex Hunters who are disappearing off the streets. He’s so attracted to her that he uses the excuse of protecting her to talk her into marrying him in a marriage of convenience. Together they survive a home invasion, a fire, and a trek through the jungle as they investigate.
Yes, our Dust Bunny bud Elvis is a notable character between his outfits, his caffeine addiction, his star dressing room, and floating around in his basket with balloons.
We get the bonus of two cast ensembles for entertainment: The Curtain Tabloid & The Green Gate Tavern. By the time the aliens are tracked down we have been entertained in this installment of life on Harmony.
Merlington does a good job with narration.

I love the dust bunnies in this series. Psychics usually get a bad rap in novels but Jayne knows how to make you embrace them and want more.

Same story new narrator

Laural doesn’t give the story the oomph the previous narrator did and tends not to give any of her own personality. Which I guess is good as it doesn’t change the story.

Narrater ruined a good book

this story is great. I bought the audible version on sale and was excited to listen to it but this narrator is horrible. She sounds like a pre-adolescent boy. The female voice is bad the male voice is dreadful. Truly one of the worse narrations I have heard. I bought a couple of Jayne Castle's books on audible and now realize it is this same Laural Merlington and now I just want to return them. She is truly awful in every way.

Ugh … the narration

The narration ruined the book. The hero Fontana is a great character and the narrator made him sound like a petulant child. She made the heroine sound like she was speaking through pursed lips all of the time. Ruined a great story.
