I’ve never connected to a historical figure before

I’ve always known of Daniel and his feats in the lions den, but there’s so much more to his life and these times in Babylon. Watch God build him up just to put him in a Den to die, except he didn’t! I play on repeat even while sleeping and I’ve been absorbing life lessons in my sleep. Hallelujah

I would hope I would be as courageous as Daniel! He knew he was going against what was law but it was in direct opposition to God's law.

Timeless message

A wonderful book, not only for men but for every Christian who wants to learn and know the true meaning of what it is to have a fervent Faith, to live, grow and walk with God every day of his life until eternity.

Honouring God Pays!

We live in such a world were some would prefer to compromise their faith in God, in order to be in good standing with the world, not realizing that to be a friend of the world is to be an enemy to God, James 4:4. I enjoyed this book from start to finish and was able to listen until the end. the narrator's voice was quite appropriate for the title.

What a book!

Daniel though young was already firm in his belief and trust in God. Referring to the part when he declined to eat the food offered to him because it was not what God approved for HIS people to eat.

Cold Water with a Clear Conscience is better than Wine. The Lord blessed their obedience when an obstacle came. Hearing that made me think of times when I had the opportunity to do the right thing thought by God and didn’t, some times I did and the peace I had for doing them was beyond words.
It’s not every time when you do the right thing a reward comes to you but I can say from experience that it is every time that you have HIS peace which is infinitely more valuable than what most of want.

“Daniel thought more of his Principles than he did of earthly honour or esteem of men. Right was right with him and he was going to do right that day and let the tomorrows take care of themselves.”

I so love the above quote because it shows how humble Daniel was, he wasn’t thinking that tomorrow was guaranteed for him!, he was living in the now and doing the right things now rather than saying later….
As I write this, I can’t count how many times I sin and I tell myself “next time”, a question came up to my head… “why do I believe there will be a next time?”…. This is something to ponder on and I believe it will help those of us who want to stop sinning.

A man is often lost because he does not start right.

Daniels story is quite interesting and amazing to read. His trust in God to reveal the meaning of the dream to him is truly breathtaking. After praying and asking God an answer wasn’t given, they went to sleep… I can honestly say that as I am now, I wouldn’t have slept well or at all but this just shows how much trust they had in God. It was revealed to him in a dream… mind you Daniel didn’t know it would be revealed that way… his faith and trust in God was so strong that he slept peacefully and it was revealed to him as he slept. He trusted in God and he was not let down.

It is better for a man to be right with God than to be right with anyone else. God’s way is the only way… remember that.

Daniels 3 friends lived a life that their enemies knew they wouldn’t bow, they were convinced that based of their lifestyle they would not do that…
How many of us can say we live a life where some things people can be sure we would never do?
Are we really living a life that is God’s that anyone can tell that we are different and won’t compromise to our Principles?

The words the 3 friends of Daniel stated are quite Powerful. They spoke that God could deliver them and if He chooses not to they would still worship only Him and no one else.

“Oh it does my heart good to think that the worst the devil can do is to burn off the bonds of God’s children. If Christ is with us the direst affliction can only loosen our earthly bond and set us free to soar higher.”
What a lovely quote above!!

“God will take care of us If only we would stand up for him”
This is so heartbreaking because I can’t count how many times I knew the right thing to do and chose not to… I have gotten better but there is room for growth and I pray to him to strengthen me as such opportunities come!

Take your stand with God even if it means the whole world shunning you.

What kind of testimony would people say about us? Can they say we never accepted a bribe? Never told a lie to increase our position?
A good name is better than a precious ointment!

Character is worth more than money, it is worth more than anything in the whole wide world.

Daniels Character was so known and pure that the only way his name could find fault with him was to make a case where he would have to choose between God and Man. They knew Daniel would choose God 100% and planned for that to put him trouble.

Question, can the same be said for us? Most likely no. This book has made me ask myself some key questions and make some decisions while also looking to make sure I stick by them!

Is he a Christian? Let us live a life where no one asks us that question.

A mans whose habit is to call upon God saves time rather than loses it!

Daniel would rather be in the Lions Den with God than out of it without God!

It is a thousand times to be in the Lions Den with God and hold to our principles than to be out of it and have money but no principles!

Notice how when the king heard it was Daniel, he frowned and didn’t blame Daniel but blamed himself!
He even tried to look for a way to get him out!
He could not even rest at night!
He prayed to Daniels God to please save him!
Wow, just wow!!

Whenever a man stands by God, God will stand by him!
