In Jewish Bibles, Daniel is classified among the “Writings”, not among the “Prophets”; in Christian Bibles, Daniel is classified among the major prophets. Written sometime in the second century B.C., the story of Daniel is set in Babylon, 605-539 B.C. Daniel is a very important book for Jesus, who draws his self-referential title “Son of Man” from Daniel 7:13-14; who quotes directly from Daniel 12 in the Olivet Discourse; and who seals his “guilty” verdict before Jerusalem’s religious leaders by reference to the book of Daniel. Written in Babylon around 600 BC, this extraordinary text foreshadows the coming of Jesus and first gives Jesus the title, "the Son of Man". Understanding the historical context of this text can be quite complex, but Dr. Creasy makes it both simple and interesting. While an occasional ringing cell phone disrupts the lecture, the live aspect of the recording brings listeners right into the heart of the engaging story. Dr. Creasy's analysis of Daniel's words, including the choice of quotations and contextual details, appeals to both new and expert biblical scholars. Meanwhile, his clear enthusiasm makes learning about ancient Babylon lots of fun.

I sat in Dr Creay’s five years through the Bible course in the 1990s. I am passing through many of his Audible classes to refresh my notes and outlines. I recommend him, widely.

He will change the way you read the Bible and will equip you to teach it if you want to walk that way.

If you are looking to understand the book of Daniel, I highly recommend this audible book. I listen to the teaching twice and he makes it The tough chapters and Daniel understandable.

Brings the Bible to life.

I really enjoy all of Dr. Bill Creasy’s Bible studies. In this one he ties together Daniel, the words of Christ in Matthew and the book of Revelation as well as to all of the historical things going on at the time to help make sense of it all. I took notes in my Bible along the way. Still could listen to this over and over to let it sink in more.
