Was not sure exactly what to expect in this series. I am pleasantly surprised with what Scott Baron has done here. Keep up the work man!!!

slow start but strong finish

was a little little slower to start than other books I've read from the author but still very enjoyable the narration was good and it ended very strong. I couldn't wait to start the second book

Stayed up far too late listening to this book!

I will admit, it has been a while since I have read traditional science fiction. My tastes usually run more towards the fantasy genre. When a friend suggested I might enjoy this series, I thought I'd give it a try.

I'm glad I did.

The author gives some details about Daisy and her crew-mates on a spaceship returning to Earth. Not everything is as it appears, though, and Daisy faces a number of dangers in her efforts to unravel the motives of those around her. As events develop, Daisy (and the reader) start to wonder if her fears are justified, or purely imaginary.

There are references to 'vintage' space movies the crew watches, including several well-known quotes. (No, I'm not going to tell you which ones! Finding them is part of the fun of reading this book.)

Even though It's outside of my usual reading, I found myself one night staying up 3 hours later than I should have, because I wanted to know "what happens next??". I'm hooked.

On to the next book!

Tragedy of errors

An interesting introduction to a new world. Unfortunately Daisy made so many dumb decisions based on her unexplained prejudices and lack of information that should have been given to her early on, it was hard to listen to without constantly rolling my eyes. Now that she knows what is really going on, I am interested in listening to the next book, but only thanks to its more positive reviews.

Know your Genre first.

This appears to be a good book, however I could not go past chapter 5. This book is more romance/light-erotica/scifi and that's not really my genre. I'm not a prude, but the sexuality didn't progress in a smooth or natural way. For example, the protagonist is walking around and whamo, she's in the sack. Easy-peasy! That did nothing but throw me out of the story and force me to always wear earbuds.

As for SciFi... it was a frame for the story. This is a good thing, as the story should stand on it's own with 'tech' being the props that connect all the fiddly bits. The author did a good job.

As I said, this appears to be a good book, but I had a hard time listening to Vivienne Leheny's narration. Her voice sounds similar to my kindle's auto-read and Vivienne's inflections, humor, and emotions felt monotone and forced. It really sounded like the humor &jokes were being read for the first time.. not acted out... so any humor fell flat. All of these reasons kept throwing me out of the story. All in all, I wasn't laughing like other reviewers said they were.

Excellent start to the classic Space Opera!

I bought this book because I had a credit that was expiring. It checked all the boxes I was looking for, space ships, adventure, saving the world conspiracy, and what seemed to be an interesting strong female lead.

I was not disappointed. Daisy's Run is a fun jaunt through space with just enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. Daisy is a tech expert and the solutions she comes up with are convincing and fun to listen to.

The narrator acted each character well and I enjoyed her performance. I will for sure listen to the rest of the series!

I was a bit concerned by the review that said it was light erotica...but I have to disagree with that overall review. There are a few adult scenes depicted, but it is not the main focus. It served a purpose for events that transpired past chapter 5 and was not that bad.

Great book keeps ya guessing

I’m visually impaired and I love how Scott brings a lot of details to this book. I haven’t read a lot of books with female narrators but Vicente really makes the characters come alive. Loved this book and can’t wait for the next book.

Great ride!!

Binged in two days. Fantastic roller coaster ride beginning to end. Can't wait till I wake up from my dream and find myself in the post apocalyptic world. That's my true dream!

Can this be considered a title?

The story is very interesting, however the main character isn't very likeable.
the narrator is really good.

the book started off really slow. the idea is amazing and I liked it at first. but the writing seems a little lazy quite a bit. little things just seemed wrong by casually being mentioned to have been accidentally taken care if prior without any steps taken to show that.
