Charming

Short enjoyable story. Honestly I almost quit listening but decided to see it through as it is a quick listen. Once the crux of the story was revealed and I felt I got to know the other characters I found myself enjoying the story very much.

Definitely a good read for younger readers. Would have been happy with a deeper dive into the robot world.

Enjoyed this book in Audible

Fun book, strong female lead stolen or kidnapped by a cast of quirky robots. The story starts out quickly dropping hints of nefarious human rules and machinations as human workers on a distant planet are made redundant by the introduction of AI. The main character 400+ days from her 21st birthday is likely to be sent back to earth. She plots her escape to a far off planet that has less (no?) AI. During her journey she is picked up by a robot and taken back to a machine made planet run by robots. Mysteries are hinted at and our plucky heroine uses her hacker skills to… well I won’t spoil the story.
The book feels like it ends mid-story, and unfortunately the next book is not available on audible. Though I can get it on kindle.

Little Disjointed

Love the characters but the plot jumps around. Will probably read the rest of the series when it comes out.

Wonderful story for a young reader.

This book is perfect for a new Young reader who is just getting into sci-fi I think anyone would enjoy it.

The storyline grabbed me and held on!

I normally listen to books while I work making wooden parts for sailboats. I almost never listen to a book any other time. I was at the last two hour mark when I took a few days off and I HAD to listen to the end while driving to the beach. The story is a bit technical, but just enough to explain what is going on. Personally I loved all the tech in it, which is right up my alley of fascination with AI. I thought that Ruby's opinions on AI at the beginning of the book was very representative of how most people feel about AI today. I loved how the story, in a humorous way, showed her changing her perspective. I can't wait for the next installment!
