Loved it!

I really loved this story and the characters. It had twist and turns. This book was refreshing after reading so many predictable books.

Fierfly!!!!!

This is going on my favorites. Siobhan did such a great job writing this book. Ben and Sierra slow burn and at time had me pausing to curse, was all so worth it. The fact that Siobhan was able to put some action, characters delvelopement, twist and turns, romance in to this one is chefs kiss! I just love books that causes the people around you to be mad, because you ignore and bark at them for bothering you..lol yes because this one is one of those. I can not wait for the other two books to be on audible, yet I find myself already downloading kindle because honestly I am obsessed and have little patience.

Spend that credit on this, you won't be disappointed!

This is the 1st book that I've gotten from this writer and it was utterly amazing. I'm so gonna have to get more and the narrators did an amazing job.

One of the best plots I've found in a really long time. Absolutely spot on and twisty which was fantastic! The spice was lacking though- I hate to say that because there was spice, but it fell flat for me because the first time they are together, it's not very well written out, and jumps to the next morning when she's sore and briefly explains what happened (I REALLY wanted to hear more about their first night together) and it focuses more on the plot aspects (which is AMAZING-did I mention that? lol) but seriously though, the character development was kind of all over the place because the MMC was portrayed as such an asshat, I wasn't sure he was really redeemable after the second time he said shitty things. Anyway, solid 5/5 for the gory, mafia plot details, an overall story telling, 5/5 narration- because yummmmm, 3/5 on the spice because the follow through was so so so disappointing, but overall a great book and I'm so glad I got to read this :) thanks for an amazing book!

This books literally checked all of my boxes. With a "surprise" trope that I normally don't run to read but man did I love every minute of this!

YES! YES! YES!!!!! This was a new to me author and now I am so ready to read/listen to more from her! I am not usually one for mafia romance because there is usually a lot of very descriptive violence.... this one did have some violence, but it was not so much to make me stop reading. I absolutely LOVED Sierra and Ben! They were so freaking awesome together! She was every ounce the Queen to his King. Sierra fell in love with Ben when he was dating her sister.... she was 13 and he was 21. Then one day he just disappeared. 8 years later they run into each other in Vegas.... and well.... she got to have the man that she wanted as a teenager. But then he was super cold to her and sent her on her way...... 6 years later they are brought together again by other circumstances.... and then the trouble begins.
I was more than excited any time something bad happened to Saskia (Sierra's sister) because she was such a horrible person that you could not help but cheer for her misery..... even from very early on in the book! There was a power struggle that was starting to happen in the mafia world... and Sierra & Ben got caught in the middle.
There were some things that I saw coming and then some things that I was in a constant state of speculation. This book had me on the edge of my seat for the 2 days that it took me to listen to it. I am a HUGE FAN! This was 100% a top listen for me this year! And I am so excited to have found a new author to obsess over!
Both of these narrators were new to me! At first I wasn't too sure about Veronica Fox, but she easily grew on me and I felt that her voice totally fit the character! But I was totally sucked in and just kept wanting more!
There were also 2 different couple possibilities that I am dying to know more about and I am totally hoping that they get their own books too!

First Siobhan audiobook for me, def not the last!

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this audiobook and this one blew everything out of the water! I have heard amazing things about Siobhan Davis' work and I have a few of her audiobooks in my library/ebooks on my kindle and after listening to Condemned to Love those other works by her will be moving up my TBR/TBL lists, that's for sure! Amazing job all around, can't wait til book 2 in this series of standalone stories is on audio 😍

In terms of the story, loved the back and forth between Sierra and Bennett. Loved seeing their relationship from the very beginning, see the ups and downs, and then see their HEA. I usually don't gravitate to books with kids (nothing wrong with them, just not a mom and my reading tastes just don't think ooooh lets add the kids and family dynamic to a sexy romance haha unless its in the epilogue). I will say that part of this story kinds stole the show and my heart 🤣. I thought Bennet had a huge growth and Sierra did a good job being strong when she needed to be, and slowly let Ben back into her life. I did think some instances he got off too easy for how he treated her, but he is a mafia man so that comes with some things we all don't agree with, behavior-wise, that people kinda get over quickly haha. Sorry don't want to spoil anything so not going into specifics here. I enjoyed the various side characters and hope a lot of them get their own stories. I loved some of the humor in this story, I wasn't expecting it. It was a nice touch of romance, steam, and story. I couldn't believe how long after the first sexy scene until the 2nd one and not gonna lie, I didnt miss it/I was so engrossed in the story I wasn't gunning for it until around there anyway. The story flowed really well you didnt miss the actual sexy scenes, but the tension was off the chart anyway 🥵. Some of the twists in this one were great (some you could see coming, but it didnt detract from the surprise and shock value too much), and I actually kept getting sad thinking it would end soon. I loved that this was a chunky audiobook, kept me occupied while I was sick, helped take my mind off the pain I was going through.

In terms of the narration, I thought Veronica and Gideon did a great job bringing these characters to life. I thought Gideon was stronger in his performance, really channeling the mafioso air around him, with his tone, the way he talked, and the acting/performance. Amazing job. Veronica was good, still 5/5 stars from me, but some of the side characters she did weren't as convincing. But ooooh did she do a good job with the craaaaazy characters hahaha.

Overall, I highly recommend this audiobook and story, I saw book 2 in this series just released on ebook, so hopefully not too much longer for it on audio! I can't wait to get some of the sisters and their love stories after everything they have been through, they deserve their HEAs (Bennet and Sierra's sisters ❤️)!

Favorite Book of the Year

This audiobook will go down as one of my favorite stories of all times. I loved this book! I loved every part of it, the story, the narration, and the characters. This story had all the feels. I laughed, got angry, and even cried. I don’t want to go into much detail because you have to just listen to this book.

I have to say also that Bennett is now my new book boyfriend.
