Acerca de esta escucha
Why does society get to decide who I am before I’m even able to speak?
Completely Naked is a look at people of color in our unnatural (broken) state, in which our brokenness affects our relationships with each other and our ability to live dignified and wealthy lives. It is a look at assisting those of us who are battling demons and traumas with finding our inner voices so we can share our darkness out loud, which can guide us on the road to recovery, finding our true self and inner peace.
Completed Naked is a look at me tearing off years of duct tape that was suffocating my emotions - deteriorating my mind, body and spirit, preventing me from discovering myself and having a voice. Duct tape I was pressured to put on by the society. This book is for that scared little boy and adult man who feels lost and all alone, and who needs a good shoulder to lean on.
Fasten your seatbelt as I take you on a long, mind-blowing adventure on the non-magic school bus through my mind, veins, nervous system, beneath my layers of skin, tendons, and muscles, undressing my complete skeletal system. On this journey, you will discover parts of me and even parts of yourself that many people - especially men - keep locked away. If exposed, it could possibly lead to a life of public humiliation and embarrassment, which could possibly make you feel less of yourself if your truth ever got out.
This gut-wrenching unmagical adventure is intense, sensitive, uncomfortable, amusing, and unforgettable. It’s a journey for those who are brave.
Hold on tight!

Men have been conditioned to be the quintessential "nice guy". They're trained to be overly humble, kind to a fault, and that just "being themselves" is enough to attract and keep the woman of their dreams. Men are told to believe that conventional masculinity is toxic and to put women ahead of their own interests, passions, and purpose. This book exposes the comforting lies you've been told throughout your life for what they really are, enabling you to become a truly authentic alpha who chases excellence and leads a successful passion-filled life.

Marriage is mostly working on yourself and learning to deal with someone else’s imperfections. In this particular book, we are going to address a few of the most common, most important ones. First, the will and skill to forgive has made more people happier in their relationships than you can probably imagine. Next, one of our worst vices, the tendency to wrath, to explode in anger, is actually in all of us. So it’s one of the things that can make or break your marriage, and it relates to forgiveness as well.

The black cat girlfriend, golden retriever boyfriend theory about relationships, dating, and marriage is a hot topic in the world of dating advice. It leaves many women wondering how to develop the attributes of the black cat girlfriend. This feminine/feline mentality has been the foundation of Kara King’s controversial dating and relationship advice books for over a decade. In her book, The Wisdom of the Pussy, King covers a variety of topics focused exclusively on developing the mindset of what many now refer to as being the black cat.

We all want love. Everything we do is in pursuit of love, but that journey has gotten difficult and complicated. We're programmed to seek love outside of ourselves, and we're trained that love is something to earn, or a destination to reach; that programming blinds us to the simple truth that we are beautiful, eternal sources of love, and to BE LOVED is to BE LOVE.

Ninety-eight percent of men admit to having fantasies about someone other than their partner. Eighty percent of women do too! So where is the line? Infidelity is a far more complex psychological matter than just someone straying because they aren’t happy in their relationship. Regardless of your gender, sexual orientation, level of commitment, or type of affair, you will need help if you want to help your partner and yourself. It’s not going to be easy, nor should it be. But for anyone who is genuinely sorry and prepared to make the effort, nothing is impossible!

bell hooks reflects on the ways in which the emotional health of black women has been and continues to be impacted by sexism and racism. Desiring to create a context where black females could both work on their individual efforts for self-actualization while remaining connected to a larger world of collective struggle, hooks articulates the link between self-recovery and political resistance. Both an expression of the joy of self-healing and the need to be ever vigilant in the struggle for equality, Sisters of the Yam continues to speak to the experience of black womanhood.

Lesson Learned.
I had this book in my archive for quite sometime and just got around to actually indulging in it today. Given the opportunity today I was able to listen to the words and understand what this book gives to its readers. This book is a true inspiration for reuniting the black household and empowering black men and women to stand together again as one, the understanding of our history as blacks and is a recommended read. Thank you Author Jameel Davis for this book!
