I wish the next book was available in the series as I listened to these in only a couple days. This is part of an omnibus that you should definitely not miss out on!!!

Great story, poor narration

Love this book and all the connected series but why do they have two male narrators and none female when half the characters (at least) are female ? The female impressions are barely tolerable but it’s such a good story I just tried to ignore it..

Lucus

The second main character in these books named Lucas in my opinion is so cringe. The authors made him so weak that he couldn’t cut a rope with a scythe in One swing. Are you kidding me? He could’ve easily saved all four of those witches on the stakes, but the authors made him such a wuss so many innocent people died because of his incompetence it just blows my mind. How useless a main character can be when the authors made him that way. The book series overall is fantastic and I’ve read every single book in the Hidden legend series, but for some reason this main character Lucas just really rubs me the wrong way and it just makes me not wanna read these parts of the books.

Can't wait for more!! Wonderful world building and character building. Struggling with the weakness of the main characters turning it into strength at times, but overall awesome coming of age story lines. Romance is good and friendships are real! Truly well written and narrated!

Started Slow

I was not sure about this series I appreciate that it has real life problems like depression and other chronic illnesses. But the teenage angst was a lot to deal with. As the series progressed the murders were not what I expected (witches burning witches in the name of justice?) but the characters were desensitized by it , I found it a little disconcerting. After book 3 I have to see how the story ends. Lucas’ rendition of Talia’s voice is awful and I don’t understand why. He literally sounds like a man. Anyway so far so okay I have hope for the next part
