I never thought I'd like a series as much as I like Dresden, and I know there's only 1 and a half of these, but if this keeps up, I'll have a new favorite.

Once I started I couldn’t stop. Great narration and great story. This will definitely be a book that I will listen to over and over.

The world is rich and the characters are alive. Clark's performance is diverse and expressive. A must listen for anyone looking for a deeply grounded weird-west story with a cast of characters that all sit-up off the page.

I love this storyline!

The Black Badge series, especially with this narrator, reminds me of cowboy poetry, and scary stories around a campfire combined. You get the fun of the supernatural world, tied together with memories of hanging with grandpa watching spaghetti westerns. I love listening to this audio book, and I hate audio books 🤣
I waited impatiently between Dead Acre, and Cold as Hell, now I will have to go bug the authors with “is it ready yet?!?!” comments.

Great story and Narrator

James Crowley does it again. He keeps your interest from beginning to end. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys westerns and supernatural stories.

Loved it from start to finish, story, characters, narrator all of it. Reminds me of a particular supernatural TV series but with a western flair to it!

Need a book 2

If there is a book 2 I hope Crowley gets meaner and Char helps out more

Excellent story telling. I found no grammatical or spelling errors which is almost unheard of with KU books. My only complaint is that book 2 won't be out for almost a year! Otherwise really great work by the author and editor!
