In Regency England, a single secret can ruin a lady's reputation... or bring an entire nation to its knees.
To the world, he is Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy: wealthy, arrogant, and infuriatingly aloof. But in the shadows, he is known only as "Fitzwilliam"—the Crown's most lethal spy, locked in a desperate race to unmask a traitor selling England's secrets to Napoleon.
His mission is thrown into chaos when the clever and captivating Miss Elizabeth Bennet stumbles upon a coded message at a glittering ball. Suddenly, she is a target, thrust into a world of danger she never knew existed. Now, Darcy is forced to stay close to the one woman who can unravel his composure, guarding her from assassins while fighting a forbidden attraction.
From shadowed midnight rendezvous to the glittering ballrooms of the ton, Elizabeth and Darcy forge a dangerous alliance. They must decode lethal ciphers and outwit a hidden enemy, all while confronting a passion that burns hotter than any battlefield.
In a game where one wrong move means death, will they save England, only to lose their hearts?

Reader Advisory: Brace yourself for a "What-If" scenario where the Regency era meets the world of international intrigue. This is not a traditional Regency Romance. Featuring a Darcy who is as lethal as he is wealthy and an Elizabeth caught in the crosshairs of war, this story is intended for readers who love high angst, pulse-pounding suspense, and a bold departure from Jane Austen’s original plot.

A Note from the Author,

Thank you so much for joining me on this high-stakes journey through a much more dangerous version of Jane Austen's world! Bringing Code Name: Fitzwilliam to life has been an exhilarating challenge—I’ve always wondered what would happen if Darcy’s "brooding" nature was actually a cover for the Crown’s most dangerous secrets.

Please Note: This story is a High-Peril Regency Thriller. It explores a version of our beloved characters that steps far outside the ballroom and onto the battlefield of international espionage.

If you enjoyed the adrenaline, the coded secrets, and the heat of Elizabeth and Darcy’s partnership, would you consider leaving a quick rating or review? Your feedback helps other "adventurous" readers find this series and is the greatest encouragement for me to keep raising the stakes.

The adventure doesn't have to end here! Follow my author page to see where the shadows take us next.

confusing

Who writes this stuff? Too many variations now that are full of inconsistencies, errors, or just seem incomplete. The main plot is fine, but at what point of the original are we? The whole period from the first assembly to Rosings seem to be combined to a few days, skipping over Collins in Meryton, and charlotte already married at Hunsford, plus several lines that imply Elizabeth had already visited Kent. They are so scattered throughout that I’m thinking more about the timeline than the actual plot at times.

Wow…

I enjoyed the intrigue of the story but right in the middle of the story, just as it gets really exciting, there are 3 chapters that seem to have come from another book. I had to go back and make sure I accidentally forwarded past some of the chapters. After that the story resumes and comes to a successful conclusion.

Interesting but poorly edited.
