I found this to be a good little story. I enjoyed the clockwork and how she had used it to drive him mad.

Loved This!

Ainsley was an awesome character. I always love stories that have a kickass protagonist, and Ainsley fit that. The situation she was in was a rough one. As an orphan, it was up to her to reveal everything that her Uncle had done to their family, Ainsley’s mother included. The dolls her mother left behind carry all the clues to unlock every secret that Ainsley wants to bring to light.

Short, sweet, and full of suspense, this is an excellent little steampunk short story. Narration was spot on.

YA Steampunk Short Story

Clockwork Dollhouse by Jordan Elizabeth is a YA Steampunk short story that I listened to on audio narrated by Lisa Hicks. This is the first book of Jordan’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. This is my first time reading a steampunk novel so it was a bit outside my usual genre but it was very entertaining and a bit creepy. I would recommend listening to this book while you can focus on the story. I got distracted and had to rewind a few times. Lisa did a great job narrating. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Steampunk, Young Adult, or Suspense stories.

Gotta Love Steampunk

I really liked the concept of Clockwork Dollhouse. Using a child's dollhouse to expose the past was a unique way to incorporate steampunk into the world.

I enjoyed the author's style and I would definitely read more by her. I received this audiobook from the author/narrator/publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Peculiar occurrences

Amazed by this chilling steampunk novella “Clockwork Dollhouse”. As intriguing as captivating, creepy little story I have wished longer. I'm a hungry listener.

Dark secrets are revealed when clockwork dolls mysteriously come to life in an unused and forbidden room. How true to life events can a dollhouse show? A tale of secrets and deceit.

The suspense haunting plot of scenes progress to a surprising ending filled with twists.
Great wide imagination of the writer, Someone I will follow and the narration was really spot on.

I recommend this.

What a great scary story

Between being disabled and having a cruel sociopath a 15-year-old brother Jane cannot catch a break. Until she needs Ainsley. This is a great story I recommend it to anyone who likes scary stories especially those with talking dolls. This is a very inventive and original story although you would think with the talking doll it would be the same old truck but I found it to be very original and I liked it a lot.

oh, I loved this, i think i want to listen again i love anything about dolls with a twist of strange to them. this was short but awesome

Great revenge story

This was my first steampunk story and I loved it. It's a quick read/listen. This author did an amazing job giving us a story in such a small amount of time. This is a story of girl whose not treated fairly from someone who is supposed to care about her. But her tormentor underestimates her strength and the ultimate story of revenge is born. I found myself cheering for her strength the whole way through. When the truth was exposed I was shocked. This story will inspire you and get you pumped up. This is the ultimate story showing good overcoming bad. This narrator did a great job being the voice of this story.

An absolutely fantas-tic-tic-tic story

My wife has been a fan of Jordan's work for some time now and has always sung her praises to me. I have been waiting for an audiobook version of her stories so I could give them a shot. This first audio release lived up to every bit of hype my wife proclaimed to me and was a wonderful short story.

Only the second steampunk story I have ever listened to, Clockwork Dollhouse easily held my attention with the writing style, ambiance, and "magic" present throughout. The narrator did a great job differentiating the characters and set the mood appropriately for each scene.

I can't wait to hear more of Jordan's works produced in audio format.

Dark, disturbing and brilliant!!

Robert has dark secrets he believes are hidden in his past. When he starts getting 'haunted', he fears someone knows the truth and looks to his niece, Ainsley for answers.

A story of revenge and unraveling of deep and dark secrets. This was a short and very cleverly written story. I only wish it lasted a little longer!

Lisa narrated clearly and well, she gave good character voices and performed the story with the right feel.
