Fantastic expansion of this amazing universe!

I always love the narrator of this series, and the CoT universe is One of my absolute favorites. This installation of the series was almost a throwback to the first, in tone and pacing, so I'm a massive fan of how the series has been orchestrated so far (for example, how this planet has been introduced.) This book is just very good, sincerely.

Another solid hit

This guy is undefeated. This world he is building is both unique and well crafted. Excellent story telling. Phenomenal and sassy narrator. I can’t recommend this whole saga enough.

Entirely enjoyable listen

The narration was top-notch, and I thoroughly enjoyed the humor and world building. Tchaikovsky does and fantastic job of shifting the perspective into the myriad of human and non-human characters.

Darkly funny

This book was funnier than the others, in a dark, understated way. While other Children of books were more focused on what constitutes sapience, this book explores the notion of self deeply. It also asks what humans would do with godlike powers, and can a post-scarcity society based on tolerance really survive? Gave story four stars instead of five because of repetition but overall it was a solid entry in one of the best hard sci fi series ever.

Yorr Future?

A fantastic story, yes it is book 4 , but this series has not let me down; a long look at time and intelligent entities; no mater what they appear to us as.Loved It!
