Resumen del Editor

Quirky, funny, lighthearted Cherry is starting to panic. She's pushing 30 and has a bit of a weight problem. But most of all, she is looking for love in all the wrong places. For her, the wrong place is thinking she could handle missionary life with a young Indiana Jones look alike. Her complete failure to understand herself unfolds as she realizes the treasure she has been missing is right under her nose.

A Sweet and Entertaining Love Story

Would you consider the audio edition of Cherry Cobbler to be better than the print version?

I ran the gamete of emotions on listening to this audio-book. There was a great deal of laughter, amusement and misty-eyed moments on my part which led me to thoroughly enjoy this book. I especially like the Audio format as it allowed me to listen while I worked on some chores around the house as well as a bit of sewing work I had on my desk to do! I also really liked how the reader chose different voices for each of the characters. I am a big Kindle reader though I am moving towards Audio format as it works better for my busy life right now!

What other book might you compare Cherry Cobbler to and why?

The Weddings by Bella Series by Janice Thompson. I thought it had the humor of this series but with more Spiritual depth. They are both from the girl's point of view.

Have you listened to any of Rachael West’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to her other performances, but I certainly liked her performance on this one, I might even seek out other books voiced by her.

Any additional comments?

Cherry is going through the awkwardness of finding a partner in life and ministry. I liked Cherry, the character is not only believable, but I felt a lot like her when I was about 23/24. Most of my friends had married young (18-21) and were popping up babies all around me. Cherry is rather likable, though there were times I wanted to shake her a little bit, those aspects of her nature were not at all far fetch either. In fact the world that Ms. Reardon creates seems like a place I have been before. I felt that in particular, the author did a very good job fleshing out the male characters which is not always the case for Christian Fiction I am sad to say.

Light Hearted and Refreshing Story

I thoroughly enjoyed Cherry Cobbler . . . a story about a young woman named Cherry, who thinks she has a weight problem . . . who worries that she's "over the hill" . . . and that she will never find her Prince Charming . . . so much so that she really doesn't know what he looks like when she meets up with him. I love the refreshing way this book was written . . . a Christian book, but not in the least "preachy" . . . but instead revealing the everyday doubts and flaws that all of us have . . . This was a surprisingly good find for me, and I'm looking forward to more in the Blackberry County Chronicles series.
