Okay I have mixed reviews about this story. I love the story but the narrator was mono tone and I could not tell if the story was coming from the male or female character. This irritated me from beginning to end. The reason that overall I give this story a four is because I took the narrator out of the equation and I am giving a review on the story alone. I loved the characters and than fairytale fun meeting. It was great and they truly connected. I really love the plot and how the story develops. I think if I had read this instead of listened to the story I would have rated it a four. I did not like the narrator at all but that should not reflect on the overall story, which I loved.

sweet accidental pregnancy story! so cute! I have one complaint that at the end she keeps going on about how he doesn't really love her, and it got a little annoying! but I understand that was to draw out the angst. still a super sweet story!

short steamy romance

A short, steamy romance by Monroe - I liked the main characters and storyline but for me the narration did this read no favors. While the voice itself wasn't bad there was no flux to tone or pitch - very monotone. There were a few times that phrases were repeated (this may not be due to narration but audio publication - not sure) and the worse was that I believe this was a dual point of view but due to the narration I had a hard time telling when the switch took place. Again - loved the storyline and the characters - great mix of story and steam with good flow throughout - but the narration was poorly done. (sorry)

Interesting story and I really enjoyed the narrator! It was a great and fun quick read!

Story: Zoe (h) and Heath (H) need to get away from their lives for a respite and have managed to double book the same cabin on a snowy Halloween night. They're instantly attracted to one another, even if they do come from very different worlds, and decide to make the best of things in the one bedroom cottage with a very large bed. One night of intense, hot sexy action leads to one little growing reminder when Zoe finds herself pregnant. She can't afford a baby on her own and she'll have to track down the mysterious Heath. Heath has his own secret and Zoe might be the end to his means - as long as she doesn’t find out about his father's ultimatum. They're a sweet couple that seems to keep hitting blocks to their relationship as they reach for an HEA. This fast moving novella had the right mix of romance, sexiness and drama to make for a fun quick read.

Audio: Narrator was good, though I think I would prefer having a male and female narrator - because the story POV changes back and forth between Heath and Zoe, it was hard at times to keep track who the "I' was supposed to be. Thankfully I had read the story recently and was able to differentiate who was supposed to be talking at points in the story.

Steamy, Entertaining Story!!

From the title of the story, I'd expected more of a suspenseful-vibe to the story like some of the author's other works, but suspense wasn't an element to this story. It didn't change that I still like the story, it was just different from what I expected. Zoe was a likable character. She was nice and doing her best despite her horrible situation. Heath was a properly cautious billionaire, and when his one night stand calls him up and says she's pregnant...well his reaction is kind of to be expected. Though, I enjoyed their story together and Zoe's willingness to stay true to herself even if it's a tough choice. The story is told from dual POV.
There is swearing, steamy scenes, and talking of cheating (not be either of the main characters).

I liked the narrator. She did a fine job voicing the characters. I'd listen to other books read by her.

Due to a hotel booking error, Zoe and Heath were booked for the save room, resulting in one hot night. Longer story, she gets pregnant.

Good story. Presentation is smooth and a natural flow. Enjoyed it.

simple romance

A rich guy falling for a simple , aspiring baker after their one night together.The story has 14 chapters, in audiobook about 2 1/2 hours long. I like this charming story, I feel the author balanced distressing and sweet/tender moments. All the scenes involved our characters (no extra fluff). Know also that there are a few "passionate scenes" thus for mature audiences only. The only negative thing - there were few times I couldn't decipher who was talking. Had to listen more as scenes/words/talk unfolds to recognize if it was Heath or it was Zoe talking.

I think this is a good love story to listen to. You can easily finish the book in one sitting (or in my case while doing chores).
