Chapter and Curse (The Vampire Book Club, Book 2) by Nancy Warren Narrated by: Hollis McCarthy Release Date: August 27, 2020 Chapter and Curse is the second book in The Vampire Book Club paranormal cozy mystery series by Nancy Warren. There are currently three books in the series, while only the first two are currently available on Audible. This book was so good! The story was great and filled with unexpected humor. I love the characters in the book, especially Quinn, who is starting to come into her own in her new home in Ireland. This book is filled with all the supernatural goodness that I look for in a cozy mystery: a quant Irish village, witches, a book shop with a book club, a hot vampire, and a mystery! I loved the murder mystery in this book. There were so many twists and turns that kept you in suspense until the very end! The narration by Hollis McCarthy is absolute perfection! She really knows how to bring a story to life! I definitely recommend this book to all cozy mystery fans! I received a review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Great paranormal adventure!
This second book in the series had me hooked from the start. I love a good scary movie so when this started right off the bat with nice creepy moments I loved it. The story kept a great pace and I couldn’t get enough. Definitely can’t wait to get my hands on the next one!

I'm in love with this series! The main character, a strong, intelligent middle-aged woman and her supporting cast of witty, intelligent people are wrapped in a well developed and well thought out plot that will keep you guessing! The cast of potential killers is intriguing including a demented ghost, but the twists and turns of the story line will have you excitedly turning pages to see who the real killer is! If you haven't started reading this series yet, you absolutely should! This series is brand new with a fresh spin to a paranormal cozy mystery to have you delightedly entranced in murder! A GREAT READ
I LOVE NANCY WARREN' S SERIES; THOUGH I DUBTHIS ONE THE "MATURE" SERIES BECAUSE THE PROTAGONIST IS A 40 SOMETHING WITH A 40 SOMETHING PERSPECTIVE, AT LEAST THE PERSPECTIVE OF A 40 SOMETHING WITCH. THE CHARACTERS ARE RICH, AND I SEE SO MUCH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT ALREADY IN THIS 2ND BOOK. SOME IS SUBTLE. SOME IS OBVIOUS, BUT ALL OF IT LEAVES ME WANTING MORE. NOW, I ANXIOUSLY AWAIT BOOK 3 (NOT TO MENTION THE NEXT RELEASES IN THE VAMPIRE KNITTING CLUB AND THE GREAT WITCHES BAKING SHOW).
