Great stories

These are great stories and so valuable to remember for those of this ancestry. Name pronouncing was a bit complicated but overall it was great.

Narrator didn't even try to pronounce Irish words and names correctly.

I bought the Audible version to listen to in my car. Good thing I wasn't in busy traffic! The narrator has no clue about Irish pronunciation. I admit I'm no Gaeilge scholar, but I do use Irish sources to try to pronounce words and names correctly. The first time the speaker called a character "COO Coo Lin," it took me a minute to realize he meant Cú Chulainn. It just gets worse from there, and I gave up. Waste of an Audible credit.

I

many of the stories seem to not have a point. it just sounds like random rambling where random powers are assigned to fill a plot gap. I would think the true stories are lost and only a patchwork remains with some monk throwing in a bridge between the gaps. the narrator isn't bad but he doesn't get into any character, just reads the story in a dry fashion. i don't blame him the characters seem to be introduced and forgotten pretty quickly with very little connection between.
