Malina and Dar

The fourth book in the Warlocks MacGregor series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Malina MacGregor a warlock and Darragh “Dar” Lahey a luck demon's story is action packed with secrets and twists and turns. The story was well worth reading and listening to. I enjoyed listening to Michael Ferraiuolo narrate their story.

Malina and Dar

The McGregor clan are gifted warlocks. Malina is a bit wild and rebellious, she thinks for herself, and acts on impulse. In the 1960s, she met and married Dar, who happens to be a luck demon. Her brother Niall, unaware of the marriage, convinces Malina that Dar is bad, and banished him to hell. Well, hell could not hold him, and Dar is back and looking for retribution, and ready to unleash some bad luck on the family. Put Lucy and Dar together and their passions reignite. The story is entertaining, and downright funny at times. I enjoyed learning about the MacGregors, and now want more stories about them. The story and characters were interesting. The narration was excellent. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Appearances Could be Deceiving

Cauldrons and Confessions is Malina MacGregor's story. Malina met Darragh "Dar" Lahey in Las Vegas during the 1960's. Malina has been a misfit in the the MacGregor household since she was sent away as a babe to be raise in England during the witch hunt in Scotland around the Medieval Age. She spoke with an English accent., ridiculed by her brothers and cousins, and always been rescued by them for her poor decisions.

It is no wondered that Malina married Dar based on their attraction to each other. They have never knew each other so when it came to trust, Malina trusted her brother, Niall over Dar and destroyed her marriage to Dar.

Several decades later, Dar has escaped Hell and wanted retribution in-kind to his wife, Malina.

During the chaos, Malina and Dar found each other again. It is difficult to blame Malina for not trusting Dar and made quick assumption about Dar. Just because Dar is a Luck Demon doesn't mean he is a demon.

The MacGregor men are known for their particle jokes and punks. It is no wonder that Malina is a bit messed up. She has been trying to fit in but the teasing of her being an English rose got her riled up to do the craziness things that would require her brothers and cousins to rescued her and cleaned up her messes.

This story is about second chances. I'm glad that Malina and Dar was given a second chance and to confront their misconception of each other.

The narrator, Michael Ferraiuolo is great as usually. I love the way he humanized Dar.

This is probably the best book in Warlocks MacGregor series so far.

Amazing story

Cauldrons and Confessions by Michelle M.Pillow is an amazing Scottish paranormal romance. Michael Ferraiuolo did an incredible job with the narration. Cauldrons and Confessions is the fourth book in the series Warlocks MacGregor. The story is entertaining, interesting, romantic, and funny. Malina MacGregor mistaking hooped up with the luck demon Darragh “Dar” Laney. Now he wants revenge because he lost his luck. He thinks it’s because of Malina and her family’s magic, and he can’t get her off his mind. Does Malina have the same feeling for him? I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend

The girl in the family

I didn’t enjoy this story as much as I did the rest of the series, but I still think it’s a good story. The problem for me is that I don’t like this trope where people just misunderstand each other and where family tries to keep them apart. However I would listen to any book that Michael Ferrajuolo has narrated because he does such a great job especially with accents like he does with this series. I love this series and all the books are on my reread list that I read through every few years.

Fantastic

This is an absolutely fantastic series. This is my second time reading it and I highly recommend it especially if you enjoy reading about highlanders, romance and magic.

Loved It!

I loved this book! I've listened to a bunch of Michelle M. Pillow's other audiobooks- both aliens and mermen- but this was my first in the Warlocks MacGregor series and I loved it. Great world building. I loved the characters- both Malina and Dar, as well as the supporting characters. The storyline was just fun, and it was a great second-chance romance. Michael Ferraiuolo does an excellent job with the narration and I loved the different voices and accents he does. I will definitely be listening to more in this series.

The Princess is Won!

Relationships are hard but when marrying a demon it’s even harder. Even though it could be a lot of fun. What an adventure is in store for the McGregors. When the path toward love is set in the past the future can be spooky.
