COLON IS A BODY PART NOT THE LEADS NAME!

The narrator ruined this book. I just really wish they had kept the original narrator for the series. This narrator pronounced the male romantic character’s name as colon. Really, how can you listen to a book that makes you think of colonoscopies every single time she mentions his name. It just doesn’t work! HIS NAME IS COLIN!! IN not ON. I got through the book, but I just didn’t enjoy it.

Love Julie Garwood's work!

I've read all of Julie Garwood's books and was thrilled to find them on Audible. The performer did a great job. Truly did the book justice. I would recommend this
audiobook.

I love this Family and their stores!

loved it ! I was chalk full of excitment i love the fact that the story lines continue to run thru a family and we can grow with them as the move thru life get married and have children.

Audio book review

Love this story, but the narration was a little lacking. If you have listened to other books in the series this is a new narrator and she keeps pronouncing Colin's name as "Colon" how someone didn't connect this with the other books in this series baffles me.

Good one

I read this first when it came out in 1994 or there about. I enjoyed it then but I enjoyed the audible even more. It’s been a favorite book and now a favorite audible. Lively characters. Some old friends from her other books and some crazed butlers, in a good way. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhangers. Enjoy

Great story! Awful narration.

I love this story and have read the books many, many times. This was my 1st time listening to the audiobook. I wish Ms. Garwood had used Susan Durden again, like she did for the 1st 3 novels in this series. Heather Wilds' mispronunciation of simple names, especially since they were the main 2 characters, and her poor overall narration abilities made it difficult to get through the book. If I hadn't already known what a great story it was, I would've turned it off.

Older Historical romance but still great.

Wonderful historical with snark, intrigue and all the feels. Last book in the series but can be read as standalone. Julie Garwood had such a way with these period romances.

Great book, horrible narrator

OMG!!! Julie Garwood, one of my favorite authors did a splendid job with this story and the ending I believe to the Crown Spies series unless another pops up. The narrator however, I would think twice about listening to another book that she narrates. Her character voices were horrible and I nearly died with the pronunciation of "Colin". At first I had no idea what she was saying because she made it sound like "colon". I was so very disappointed!!!! Who does not know how to pronounce Colin? If I had a magic wand and could have zapped another narrator to read I would have done that.
