Beautiful

Jesus was a common man.. Buddha a refined man. Beautiful. Scientifically poetic. on to Oshos Dhammapada..

This Osho Talk is part of the large Dhammapada speeches, so if you have bought that series this speech is included.

This was a Osho talk all about the philosophy of Buddhism. Osho mentions the conscious and unconscious aspects of man and how with lust, greed, and anger [for example] that these things arise from the unconscious but humans apply a conscious reason to the anger. He is basically saying the anger comes from the subconscious and really arises from within and the reason created for the anger is ultimately just an excuse. He also spoke about how God was made in the image of man and that Buddhism doesn't even have prayer but does have meditation. He also mentioned something I found very profound I would like to mention here which is that people say they don't have time to meditate while they watch movies and go to sports games for hours on end. He said these people will say they are just killing time while all the while time is killing them. This statement really resonated with me. Osho truly is a master wordsmith and garners my full attention with every speech.

Know what you're getting into

I really appreciate this talk, and I plan on listening to it again when I can be in a more meditative state. It's a live performance, with all the pauses and extra background noise that comes with that. I felt it only added to the performance. A great way to start my study of Buddhism.

My ears!!!

I couldn't listen to ten minutes of this. The narrator hisses at the end of each pause and sentence. OMG it is absolutely horrible. I'm sorry it's not a very zen like thing to say, I wanted to save your ears.

what the heck

seriously. the book has no point the guy reading it is so stinking slow I feel like I'm talking to a turtle. what is this supposed to teach anybody. besides what Buddha already did teach.
