This book has it all, the laugh, the serious the sneeky love the acceptance, the cruel. Loved every minute of this book.

FMC is neurotic

Narrators: I liked Ms. Edwin for the most part. She got a bit nasally and shriek-y at times, though. I've added another favorite narrator in Mr. Clarke. Good male narrators are rare, imo. His voice was very listenable.

The story: The FMC, Lena, was neurotic. Anxiety my a$$. She had a good story, but her incessant jabbering and internal dialog got really old after a while. The MMC, R÷eed, was my favorite kind of "love interest." His voice and the dirty talk? Yes please. The build-up or lead-in for the relationship was too much. Reed kept putting off intercourse, even though they had done sooo much already. It was kind of stupid not to just go ahead and hit it. Overall, I liked this one, recommend.

Reid and Lena

This book was absolutely delicious! Forbidden. Age gap.

Reid can deny it but it’s so very obvious he’s attracted to and enchanted by her. The gorgeous red hair, the curves, and that mouth…she rambles when she’s nervous and the whole package has his literally by the ⚾️⚾️.

Lena has waited to have her first sexual relationship, not because she was purposely doing do, but with her dads illness and passing, then she and her mom trying to gain their footing, there just wasn’t time or the priority. But he’s to be her one night stand and she’s excited and nervous (cue the rambling) and then he’s just gone.

Imagine discovering she’s now a member of the Sebastian family. Cousin by marriage to none other than Reid Sebastian. The encounters are tenuous, explosive and 🔥🔥🔥. And soon they’re on the slippery slope of emotions and secrets. Secrets and a secret relationship will derail them from all that they want.

This book was so good! And I loved the narration.

brutally hot

this story is absolutely steamy hot and sexy. definitely a brutal story this is the second story of the brutal billionaires series and I am here for it. between the hot and steamy scenes and all the other things that are going on I don't know if it's because it was a forbidden type love that made it even more steamy but I know it was definitely steamy it was a great story I couldn't put it down I had to constantly listen the narrators did such a good job of elevating the story. if you're in the market for something steamy this is your story.

Wonderful story with wonderful narration

Laurelin Paige is a go to author for me and I’m always excited for her new releases and this was the book I have been waiting for. This is Reid Sebastian’s story and if like me you love these Sebastian men you will want to read or listen to Brutal Secret. As soon as this hit my kindle I dived in and then I went straight to the audible to get an even bigger fix of the man who has become my latest book boyfriend……
Jason Clarke and Venessa Edwin did a wonderful job bringing the characters and their story to life. The narration was exciting and exactly what I was looking for with this book.
It was only meant to be one night of passion but when Reid walks away before the deed was done Lina Quinn becomes obsessed with him. She is hurt and embarrassed but nothing could compare to walking into her mothers wedding to find out he is her new step cousin……
What follows is two flawed characters trying to do the right thing and not cross the line but we all know chemistry or lust is hard to fight and it gets even harder when feelings come into play.
This book has it all, it’s a beautifully written love story, it’s has characters that are perfectly imperfect, it’s steamy and at times it’s funny. Brutal Secret can be read or listen to as a stand-alone but I think you would get more out of this wonderful journey if you have read or listened to Brutal Billionaire first. Loved everything about this wonderful heartbreaking and heartwarming journey.

The narration was so on point!

I love it!! Vanessa embodied Lina so perfectly and Jason with his voice…gaah!!! He brought Reid to life.
