Traversing a landscape of Indian powwows, desegregation, and the birth of rock ‘n’ roll, Ben’s adventures begin in the plains of Oklahoma, where he is a young Indian dancer, and take him to the shores of the Ozarks and the city of St. Louis, where he becomes a rhythm and blues and rock musician, sharing the stage with luminaries like Ike and Tina Turner and the Allman Brothers.
