Perfect story/information balance, it has been really entertaining to follow these two Vikings on their trip.

Awesome!

If you are looking for the perfect book to escape around the world with, this is it! I literally could not put it down. Chapter after chapter, the authors maintains the likely pace. Yanne‘s explanations, historical relevance, and colorful language describing each wonderful place they visited had me following along in my atlas and doing more research into each location.

I laughed! I laughed at something in at least every chapter. I cried. I cried upon completion of journey.

I hope I can find another book that can even hold a candle to this one…

Awesome story

I discover this book through 59 north podcast. It is incredible that is not more widely known. I think that it belongs to the greatest sailing stories, It is funny, engaging and eye-opening . I read it twice and buy several copies for some friends. Ah, and I bought my first sailboat after the first reading …. Thanks Calle and Yanne!

A great story, well told.

Really enjoyable book and a great performance.

my only criticisms would be
-The reader needs to look up words he doesn't know. Some of the mispronouciations grate after a while.
-Whoever did the QC listen needs shooting, there were lots of lines repeated and other clear editing issues.

That being said. I'd recommend it to anyone.

As a woman going through a possible midlife crisis... commited to a circumnavigation and never having sailed. This made me feel so much better about my dreams and let me know for sure, I CAN do it :) I laughed and wept throughout the entire story.. and ugly cried when they returned to their home port. Highly recommend. Also, it would have been impossible for the narration to be any more wonderful than it was. ❤️

This is a true life adventure. You can feel the emotion of the men in this story. Great to follow along on audible

Good sailing tales, but amateurish writing.

Interesting stories and adventures but not particularly well told. Overreliant on simile and hyperbole
