Welcome to Fortuna, Texas where the men are dared to love as big as they live. The men of widower Brad Davidson's book club, the Fortuna Dare Society, are dared to act out a trope, setting, and character with a significant other. That poses a problem for Brad, who hasn't had serious relationship in over 20 years.

He likes the town librarian, but it might not amount to anything more than a strange, costume-staged, musically-enhanced meal. Then again, he married the last woman he went out of his way to date.

This is a short and quick read, or listen, that is so much fun and entertaining. I want to be part of the "Fortuna Dare Society" book club. Very interesting and intriguing to act out scenes in books. The guys are now hooked in romance and the women are loving every minute of it. These men get creative. This is one is about Brad, Ophelia, the librarian, and a little Beauty and the Beast. This one had me laughing out loud with the craziness but it is also sweet and touching. Brad gets a second chance at love. The narrator did a good job with all the different characters.

I really enjoyed this hilarious first book of the men's book club. I can't wait to see the other Shenanigans they get into. It was a really sweet story for Brad.
Narrator was really good. He was able to bring each character to life.

Love this short listen. The narrator did a fantastic job portraying the characters. Love his sound effects! This is the second audiobook from author I listen to and I wasn’t disappointed!
