Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. Couldn't even finish it. I loved the Shark and I, but this one was way too slow and repetitive.

Would you be willing to try another one of Allegra Cole’s performances?

No way. She really messed this one up for me. Pausing in the wrong spot. Making the main male character whiney.

good read

I love her characters. The women are so average Jane. The males are genuinely good guys. She gives you love in reality, not unrealistic expectations. They have feelings you can relate too and want to share with them.

Well done!

Good story that was a little different. Narration was good and there were some pretty funny lines. Overall a fun, steamy listen.

Enjoyable listen

I love the authors funny spin on a romance. The narrator sounded just right for a bumbling 40 yr old that just started dating. I will listen to this again.

not very exciting

I cant recommend this. It was predictable and even though short I was not sure I even wanted to listen to it to the end.

I wasted a credit so you won't have to

I decided not to return this book because it is the worst I've ever listened to, and I wanted to be able to post my oponion. I started the book and over a three week period managed to tolerate about half of it, hoping it would get better. After I passed the half way part and it just kept getting more monotonous I decided to go to the last chapter to see if it at least ended in an interesting way. One can go from the first chapter, skip all the rest and go to the last and not miss a thing. And the narrator did not a thing to make it better, even adding her own inhalations of breath to make it more dreadful. There, that was worth a credit to get that off my chest.

Narrator was terrible

I can't tell you whether the storyline in the book was good. I couldn't get past the first chapter because the narrator was so irritating. She spoke entirely too slow with too many long pauses. I kept wanting to tell her to hurry up and spit it out! LOL

Terrible

Story line was flat and immature. Characters were weak. Virtually no content between the sex scenes, which were ridiculously too frequent. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good hot & steamy, sex scene. However, this seemed as if the writer was avoiding actual writing by just stringing a bunch of sex scenes, one right after another.

For the most part the narrator was pretty good. My only criticism would be that she didn’t do such a great job with the male voices.

Couldn’t finish

This prompted me to write my first review after reading so many books on audible. Monotonous snooze fest.
