This book teaches you - not your dog, as many dog owners think - how to train your boxer with rewards rather than punishment. Your boxer wants to please you but he is begging out for guidance from a leader. He has joined your pack, not the other way round. Using consistency and firm but kind guidelines, you will make a friend for life who will always be happy to see you and love you no matter what.
However, you should also be aware that boxers quite often have a shorter lifespan than some other dogs and are prone to certain diseases. This book will tell you what to look out for and what you should be asking the breeder or kennels you get your boxer from. Some diseases are inherited from their parents and a good breeder will supply you with this information.
Every dog is different, but boxers do have generic traits and behavior that you can be aware of by listening to this book. Hopefully, you have bought it before you get your boxer. In any event, it will be useful in the training and care of your dog. I hope you enjoy your time together.

This book is quick but it gives you a lot of information that you might not be thinking about when you get a boxer puppy. The narrator is very monotone and sounds like a computer at some points but it has good information.
