It was whatever

Pretty run of the mill. Predictable. Kinda lifeless characters. Just all around meh. I liked Delia tho.

Good romance- unexpected turns

Very likable characters, all of them well developed. Story moved and develops, characters grow in love and in understanding. Narrator does a good job with different voices. Not your expected Cinderella plot. Enjoyable.

The characters and the story .

The reader was annoying. She spoke normally and then emphasize the last word or words several times I was considering to not finish reading the book.

Stunning!

This was one of my first audio books and just like a normal book I couldn’t put it down! I found myself walking around with headphones so enthralled by the story. I laughed, I cried, I yelled at the characters when they were stupid. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. Thank you

Dissapointed

Great story but no mention of the sexual scenes. It didn’t need them and there was no warning that they were in there. Please note that so others don’t have to deal with skipping sections so they can get on with the actual story.

Loved it

Really love the story line. It was unexpected and funny. I loved Max character. He is a wonderful Duke.

I listen to many romances and this is one of the best. The h and h were solid characters who grew during their relationship and the story line was realistic, yet intriguing. It’s a solid A,

Love Laura Lee Guhrke Most of the Time

I have not read this book but just listened to this audiobook so I am not sure if it the way Marisa Calin reads the book or if the heroine is just not that sympathetic. I will probably get through the autobook but have stopped twice because it is just not that good.

this narrator is spectacularly, hilariously awful

If you have ever watched Kristen Wiig on Saturday Night Live where she plays a character named Shana, this narrator sounds EXACTLY like that. Go to YouTube and watch an SNL Shana sketch, and you will instantly know what you will be hearing for the next 10 hours if you buy this audible. Every single word is uttered with breathy, sexy surprise. Ooooh Lima beans! giggle giggle. Ooooh maybe I will demo this dry rot Oooh! Sigh sigh oooh. It is the single worst performance by a narrator I have ever heard, (and I have listened to hundreds of audible books). I love Laura Lee Guhrke, and I will definitely buy this book and just read it myself, but I am sad I wasted a credit on this profoundly annoyingly dumb performance. Remember when Fergie sang the Star Spangled Banner in a sexy, breathy, Marilyn Monroe Happy Birthday Mr. President style? It's like that. Save yourselves!
