In the first part of the trilogy Blood, Corpses, Murder, Carlton Roster confronts the unequal team of investigators from Hamburg with very tricky investigations into extremely violent murderers. The young commissioner repeatedly brings herself into precarious situations through her courage, but also through her certain naivety.

Inept reader

It was hard to follow because the reader was so bad. The ending was lame.

Hard to listen to

The reading was horrid. The story line shows not much research in how police investigations work. Sounds more like a soft porn with lots of mentioning of pantyhose. Can tell it’s a male author without looking to see who wrote this.

Robot voice

I couldn’t even listen to the story. The voice was so disjointed and distracting. Maybe I’ll try reading it in the future.

The reader

The narration was terrible , honestly kept thinking it was a mistake , it was an unexpressive vocal and was clearly not professional

ROBOT!

This was absolutely dreadful. The performance was like listening to a computer generated voice. There was no inflection, no emotion, just woodenly repeating one word after another. And the whole purpose of the story seemed to be obsessing over how attractive the main character was, then detailing the humiliation and sexual assault of the main character. The entire thing was disgusting.

Horrible narration

Story started out okay, but not sure how it finished. Narration was so bad I couldn't tolerate continuing after 15 minutes. Extremely robotic voice sound like computer synthesized. Tried adjusting speed setting up and down, nothing helped. Disappointed that I couldn't finish.

Synthesized voice

Synthesized voice… No inflections. Ran sentences together. Definitely not the best book. I’m glad it was free.

Don't waste your time!

The performance was awful. It sounded like a computer voice with no expression and awkward response to punctuation. The story was weak.

Pitiful Attempt

Story and writing is sophomoric. The reader made a poor Story even worse by ignoring punctuation and speaking with no feeling or expression.

Bad narration

Story was thin and not particularly interesting but the totally flat narrator was distracting at best.
