An eloquent document of the civil rights movement that remains a work of profound social relevance 50 years after it was first published.

A revolutionary work since its publication, Black Power exposed the depths of systemic racism in this country and provided a radical political framework for reform: true and lasting social change would only be accomplished through unity among African-Americans and their independence from the preexisting order.

It angers me how so much knowledge and information is available to unite black ppl. Info laid out by great ppl like brotha Kwame Ture, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing and Dr. Amos Wilson. They put so much great info that leads a clear path to our salvation. And we just can't take that much needed step to free ourselves of oppression. None of us want to really revolt out of fear of losing what "we think" we've gained. So sad!! This brotha dedicated his whole life to getting info to the masses to free our minds of BS capitalism. While we continue to be blinded by the might dollar.

Kwame Ture should be more know amongst black ppl

Thanks for educating me on the term, its origin, its history, and its significance in the face of racial capitalism.

What a way to educate!
